Is the MPAA gonna have people derssed as batman and other super heros busting bootleg DVD sellers. Come on this is so illegal it hurts.
The only thing these "goon squads" have the authority to do is tell the vendors they are doing something illegal and call the cops, at most make a citizens arrest.
If they are looking for someone to blame their dropping sales on, how about these 3 items: 1. their tacticts of late have been PR nightmares, many people now refuse to buy music to help support these strong arm tacticts
2. There is no real new music lately, it's all the same old crap, if you want real originality you have to seek out a garage band that the RIAA thought was not mainstream enough to make money.
3. You aren't giving people what they want!!!! why is a single on a cd only 1/2 the price of a 10-14 song album! I don't want the whole albumn if only 1 song is good. I also want to burn it to a MP3 CD or load it to a HD or Flash memory based player without your damn copyprotection or limits on how many times I can move it DAMMIT!!!!
I had this argument with ATT and Verizon. ATT changed my long distance plan on me then doubled billed me. It took 6 months of me calling every month to straighten it out. Ther only reason it did straighten out was because I dropped everything ATT and on the last bill I I wouldn't get off the phone untill the Rep zero'ed my account.
Then Verizon 1 year after canceling my contract send s me a bill for 1 months payment. I call up asking where do they come off billing me 1 year later when I paid all the bills. I was on 1 bill so I had to talk to 1 bill, who sent me back to verizon wireless. it took 3 months and a complaint to the better business bureau to straighten it out. The punch line they actually owed me $7.47 because when I canceled they didn't refund me enough. It's 6 montsh later and every month I call and ask for the refund check again.
It's Truly become a let the buyer beware world out there.
Ok let a Medic who has been using these devices for 15 years shed some light on this.
there are a few different types of devices on the market for controling traffic lights.
The idea behind them is to turn the light red in all directions but the one that the emergency vehicle is comming from. this way the vehicle can proccede unimpeaded through the intersection.
Most at first just required a frequency (light or radio)at first. Most if not all now require a 2nd carrier wave with a ID broadcasted. So the sensor recieves the signal, then recieves the ID carrier then changes the light. if the ID carrier is not present it doesn't work. This was done to prevent abuse by emergency vehicles while driving around not on a emergency.
So most people will buy these not read the fine print that a ID carrier must be installed for it to work in some areas then get pissed off at losing their money.
BTW the system i have used is the 3M Opticom (TM) system
It's a shame. I'm a PC user because of the cost and availability of MAC programs and Hardwear, but I always thought the MAC to be a superior computer. It seems far less buggy than M$. I don't know Adobe's purpose behind this. It may just be a marketing ploy for them to get more PC users to buy their products. That may be why they didn't use state of the art equipment. Again it's not the best product, look at Sega Game Gear. Color stereo and with a backlit screne but failed to the B &W mono gameboy that finally released a version that's up to the game gear's caliper.
All spelling mistakes are intentional and done to enhance the creativity of the submission.
Join the party, I know I get much more spam than real e-mail to the tune of 50-100 spams per day. *sigh* Unfortunately their isn't much you can do. My spam filters dlock out domains that are nothing but spam but they just get a different domain and I am back to square 1. so I am back to using the low tech alternative the Delete key:)
I was in an even worse spot. being so far from the switching station (35,000 M) I was told I was lucky to get the pathetic speed I was getting (26.6) I snatched the first broadband that became available (cable). I feel for 56K people and stilldespise high bandwith webpages that don't have "lite" versions. Have some pity for those who aren't in reach of faster connections!!
I think this book in light of what is happening in the country would be a good thing. Everyday we hand more and more of our rights over to special intrest groups, political correctness and laziness in general. We give this up for conformity, forgetting that what made america was the freedom to be different from the norm. And we as americans have become the people that caused our ancestors to flee here in the first place. Cast some light into the darker places of this world and save a copy for me.
Ok we all hate him and I for one would hate to see him taint the starwars universe with his sorry excuse of acting talent. However will I still see it, of course it is starwars. If I could deal with Jar Jar, I can stand Decrappio for one movie, but that's it!

I am in the middle of a bilzzard right now. I had to drive 22 miles home from work last night: time to drive 1 hour 45 min.
Number of plows or spreaders seen on the way home: 20
Number that were doing something other than sitting on a sidestreed parked with a 2nd plow: 2
Number of streets I was on that showed evidence of plowing 8 hours into storm: 1 (out of 7 streets I used to travel)
Don't know what they were waiting for but with 6 inches on the ground and up to 30 more on the way they should have been out in force.

I used BSD in 1994 and it was great. Had a few friends (who gave it to mt) they never had problems. It is a worthy addition
