Hey the system would work if the mean stream media, including the bbc were woth shit. On party, the biggest in one of the nations of the UK has stood up.
http://www.snp.org/media-centre/news/2012/apr/snp-condemn-uk-government-surveillance-plan but don't expect the bbc to make note of it...or any of the mainstream media.
Yeah wer'e used to being ignored up here.
So basically they have decided to adopt a 'standard' that no one, even Microsoft, implements correctly? I assume they mean the ISO one.
Just demand that they only use software that implements it correctly according to the standard and what them have fun.
Erm....stalls? The unionist parties are the ones blocking it. The SNP are a minority government and when all the unionist parties (including the two how are for holding a referendum on the voting system in the UK and are in government) said they would not back it as it was the wrong time for a referendum, so there was no way the bill would pass.
For some reason the unionist parties are hell bent on not having a referendum that they keep saying they will win easily. Kinda makes you wonder just how accurate the polls they keep troting out are.
OK mister picky..."And God made the two great lights, the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; he made the stars also."
So yeah, the bible does say the universe was created, perversely after the earth...or am I reading that wrong?
I really expect an app from National Rail to be arriving any time now.
Based on my experience of Network Rail, now will not be very soon, be half as big as it needs to be and they will give a lame excuse. The app will also fail randomly, give totally implausible reasons for failure and will make late for work what ever you do.
800-Million is a shedload for a scheme that no one wanted except a few people that bought what ever the excuse was that week.
I MEAN WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY MEANT TO BE FOR? First to fight terrorism...they couldn't figure out how they would help as the july seven attackers would have had valid ones anyway, then to combat benefit fraud....then they figured that benefit ID fraud costs less than the scheme would, then it was to help against ID theft online.....they didn't stick with that one for long as even they couldn't come up with how it could possibly work , then it was easier travel in Europe..... but they never told the travel companies and none of them accepted them, then they were to stop illegal immigration....then they realised the kind of people that employ illegal immigrants is not likely to check for ID, the last reason I saw was as an easy way for people to prove their age to buy drinks....then they realised that perhaps promoting them as a card that lets young people get legless might clash with the how cracking down on yob culture thing.
The only reason I could see for anyone to want them is to allow them to monitor the population and generally allow the government stick their nose into other peoples business. Not a reason I too keen on.
You could have national newspapers, but with local advertising. But since this is expensive to do (so many different print versions to distribute) they need to automate this.
The Aberdeen press and journal has this approach producing 7 editions covering different areas. They manage to be biggest selling Scottish broadsheet, despite covering a relatively low population area (highlands and islands).
Well considering the age of consent is 16 in Scotland for everyone and everywhere else except England and Wales where it is 16 unless you are in a position of trust regarding the individual, then it is 18. But I agree most countries take a sane approach when it come to younger people, but then again in most countries the prosecuting types are not worried about looking tough due to them not being elected.
Your safe as anyone else, your in Scotland, we have a different legal system (if you hadn't noticed) . We don't have libel or slander just defamation. Then again it appears you can sue anyone from London if it is possible anyone 'might' have heard what you wrote/said south of the border.
erm he was born in Yorkshire so he is a subject of the queen, once a subject of the queen/king always a subject. You can take any other nationality you like but your still a subject
2 GB on board, you can how ever slap a 16 GB micro SD card into it and your sorted. Heck if that's not enough just get a few and switch them if you want.

Labour will back it, but oddly the biggest party in scotland stands opposed http://www.snp.org/media-centre/news/2012/apr/snp-condemn-uk-government-surveillance-plan Hey another resaon to desolve the act of union.
And sure doesn't matter that's all I have to say
Sorry your using the daily mail as a reference...can't believe anything you say. BTW how did they link it to immigrants and mortgage rates?
So basically they have decided to adopt a 'standard' that no one, even Microsoft, implements correctly? I assume they mean the ISO one. Just demand that they only use software that implements it correctly according to the standard and what them have fun.
We'd have the mind-numbing processing power to get my garage door open, and one less US state.
Seems a fair trade in some cases.
tl;dr Soulskill isn't that bad
...after the trip must be interesting.
But seriously, I use all the keys on the keyboard, except some of the F# keys.
SysRq? You use that key? Does that do anything any more except when doing stuff with the kernel?

Or you can buy one here, I wonder if they do a multi buy deal?

six thousand years old of-course.

Lyux?!?!...come on telnet to port 80.
Queen Elizabeth II? You might have heard of them.
But aren't viruses meant to do bad things...that would be more of a self installing enhancement.

Erm tell that to Tomtom and a few others when it comes to FAT.

If the school has any sense (which I suspect is doubtful), they will have wiped all the evidence well before the judgement.
