    In 1993 - 1994 I was looking at a text only hyperlinking solution called Black Magic. It was partly what I needed but when HTML hit the scene my interest in it died.

    It's only difference from HTML is that it was a little more labor intensive and rather non-intuitive.

(Think IMF -- "The secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions". How do we know an IMF isn't a real agency? We wouldn't if you remeber the TV show.)

    Who has the most to gain by the U.S. becoming more repressive?

    What if anybody who is a "hacker" as the press misuse the word were accused and then jailed based on some non-crime. Yeah, by the simple act of downloading a copyrighted MP3 and being traced, you could be jailed first for an indeterminate period of time. I don't care what you think. It's about what is the law and how do you make sure that law enforcement (The Executive Branch) abides by the law when arresting you?

    Immanuel Velikovsky was ridiculed for his theories about the different natural disasters (this includes space generated disasters like meteors and comets) but his logic was tight and objective and probably was a disruptive force in religious circles because it damaged their dogmatic control of the general populace.

    Check out "Earth in Upheaval", "Worlds in Collision" and "Ages in Chaos" for some truly enlightening thoughts from the early part of the 20th century.

    He didn't say that so why are you putting words in his mouth?

    But since you bring it up; No carrying firearms onto the plane do not necessarily decrease the possibility of a terrorist attack, but responsible, even minded people would have a better chance of disarming, disrupting or defeating an attempted hijaaking with an appropriate tool such as a firearm rather than an unevenly matched tool such as a spoon or fork.

    Why not use all that man/woman-power and research the law regarding the DMCA?

    I'm willing to bet that there are some vague provisions of that act which make it highly suspect in terms of it's adherence to the Constitution.

    I've been representing myself in propria persona in a lawsuit for the last 9 months. I'd have lost outright if I had not researched the law regarding how to proceed. If I had more researchers to help me it would have moved faster.

    Futhermore, consider that most law firms have a majority of their grunt work done by paralegals, the real grunts of legal work...

    You're right that's the way DEMOCRACY works. This country's form of government however is a REPUBLIC. Furthermore, written into our Constitution the prevailing common law of the land, is protection from the tyranny of the Majority. Laws which violate the rights of the minority are invalid. And simply because no one has chosen to pursue a particular right (yet) does not mean that the law is affirmed. It simply has not been challenged. Additionally, just because someone might or has lost a challenge still does not mean a law is right correct or proper. This applies to court decisions as well. Just because a judge makes a decision which is unchallenged does not make it right, correct or proper.

    The seems to be no dearth of Morons actively practicing law on this planet (mostly in the US).

    1. Read more. Your spelling is atrocious. The word
    is "sophomore" not "softmore. If this is a joke on your part it's really lame. If not I'm not sure you're going to be happy in any science field as a career.

    2. Why are you in college? Get a degree in something you like, not what you think will make you money. The point is, if you major in something you like, it's more likely you'll come up with creative ideas on how to make it something that helps you earn a living.

    3. CIS vs CS vs Math.
    CIS is a specialization in CS
    CS is a study of concepts and theories in using computers.
    Mathematics is where computers come from (physics and engineering merely make the hardware. The guts of what makes a computer is the Math :^P )

    If you want to be limited by the language of the day, and be forced to keep up with technology to keep your job OR you have a position and CIS will cement you into place for the next 40 years (see COBOL) then this is a good choice

    If you want to be a creator and implementer with a good understanding of how computers do their thing in the CPU, major in CS.

    If you a want a broad, deep, sharp and limitless access to knowledge, adaptability in science and a change in the way you think...choose Math.

    If none of these suggestions appeal, Sports Medicine is lucrative...
