I think the Tesla "snake" charger is a lot closer to the ideal. Even if it is a bit overwrought, it still must be cheaper than repaving road surface for every installation.
I didn't really have that much trouble with the summary - though the Marx quote was sort of off-the-wall. Honestly, though, I enjoyed reading your complaint way more than I did reading the summary. You should really post non-anonymously (inanonamously?) so your post would rate up-modding.
Because white-on-black imprints on my eyes and if I look away - or even just change the angle-of-view - the effect is nauseating. As far as I can tell, the only advantage of light-on-dark is that it looks cool to 12 year old gamer-boyz.
It sure smells like an effort (driven by huge tech corporations) to depress tech wages. This isn't about increasing tech competitiveness through computer science education, it's about cloning code-monkeys by the millions.
Besides, how about the feds just stay the hell out of education?
I don't read hackaday but, from this brief exposure, I can tell they're asshats. 1. They think cheap, reliable, widely-supported hardware is going away because all computer users are "design conscious."
2. They use white text on a black background.
Also, when my CHIP arrives, it'll have a VGA adapter.
Hopefully, the 'design' of those sites won't affect/. since they don't have user-contributed content.
The user-contributed content is, to me, what make makes slashdot great. If I were BIZX, I'd look for ways to get the users more involved in priming the firehose. If there are decent articles/summaries, the comments section will take care of the rest.
Only if you're well-medicated. It's hard (especially these days) to make a compelling story without car crashes or vampires (maybe vampire EMTs?) but you use colorful language and that helps a lot. Maybe pound out a chapter or two and see how it feels?
It's great to read posts by and about technologists with character, humor, intelligence and mettle. I hope your example isn't lost on those following in your footsteps.
You're right...and the chip-and-sign cards have nothing to do with security. It is just the banks shifting liability for fraud away from themselves and onto retailers.
I wouldn't worry about it. Gerrymandering will dilute their voting block.
I don't see any real threat, anyway. They are not trying to shove anything down anybody's throat. They just don't want their choices unnecessarily limited by the sensitivities of less tolerant folks.
That's why date-rape drugs are so cool...bitches never say no!

Is this a follow-on to the John Cleese/Political Correctness article? It does provide examples of hyper-sensitive arseholes...
Also, is this supposed to change anybody's buying habits or , well, anything?
a bunch of immature losers living in their parents' basements
Yeah, that pretty much says "terrorist" to me.

The flammable/inflammable controversy will go away soon since neither is included in the up-goer list of the ten-hundred most commonly-used words.
There are new editors. They've eaten Timmay and are submitting stories under his account.
I'm really confused. Which term of service was violated and by which tweet(s)? This whole story seems to just be trolling for clicks (shocking!).

Present company excepted.
we start the count at 1, IE 2001. 1-2000, 2001-3000 etc.
1-1000, 1001-2000, 2001-3000, etc.

Wow, that sounds like it was just made up on the spot!
No problem. Trump is going to build a wall around the ISS and make the Iranians pay for it.

Why in the world would somebody write a trojan to build a collection of neckbeard headshots? That's just sick!
Well, we have these big, beautiful yards with trees and grass and hills and gardens. It's quite a lot to do with a rake.

Another obvious application for manned space flight!
I didn't read the article because I couldn't remember Fortune's IP address.
"Identity Theft Resource Center"? It's a cookbook!
