Agree. I was 100% OK with passive ad banners on sites until the video/audio ads started. I can't abide by those. Executing javascript is a whole order of magnitude worse than that. Ad blockers (and Privacy Badger) weren't created because people don't want to see a GIF banner.
There will be monitors that can display what's passing by the vehicle outside. The point is, without windows, the structural integrity of the car is increased a whole order of magnitude. We could make crash proof boxes for the passengers.
Yet another form of prohibition. Will this all eventually come down to twin Internets running simultaneously? One, which has been scrubbed clean like a Caucasian-Disney fever dream, and one for the naughty and ill-mannered people?
Oh wait. The darknet.
Imagine the next generation of sword steel. Or heck, pocket knife blades. How about razor blades? Will disposable blades become obsolete? I wonder how flexible the material is. Brittleness? Ductility?
people will surround it with strange chants and offerings. We need to remember that programming looks completely alien to most people. It's a lot easier to quantify a job when you can imagine actually doing it.
1) No auto playing/downloading videos
2) Guaranteed maximum byte payload for adverts
3) Guaranteed no malware
4) Crowd down-voting capabilities to target poorly performing/mis-behaving ads
There has to be a happy middle ground. I really don't care if ads and marketing links are tastefully deployed on a site. It's the massive performance hit and the malware that annoys me enough to deploy countermeasures.
Another study just came out showing that increased gun ownership actually lowers the murder rate and lower gun ownership does the opposite. We have multiple points of confirmation and there are a few skeptical politicians that are starting to come around.
The old truism is confirmed. Outlaw guns and only the outlaws will have them.
Does Chicago have a violence problem? Yes. Gun bans are not the solution.

If there is reasonable cause that any given security system is compromised even a little, the entire thing must be shutdown and repaired.
In other words, unlike water plumbing...a little leak is cause for total dismissal of a security system.
At this point, it's safe to say the entire internet is suspect. Failure to take this stance is just burying your head in the sand.

I've used Flexon frames in the past, but they tend to be heavy. I wonder if this material is lighter.
What we need is an Olympics for technology. The US will be embarrassed into accelerating development to not fall on its face in front of the world.

I wonder if this kind of effort will eventually lead to a solid theory for the P=NP problem.
for killing the browser plug-in. It's not that javascript was a good option. It's the ONLY option.

What study?

It's almost a good question. The interesting question is: How large was the Earth before the moon was blasted free?
