One trick that can work is the talking stick microphone. Use a regular wireless mic, and each person hands it to the next to talk. It may sound silly on the surface, but it can work well to also control the regular interuptive types that dominate these meetings. Not only a mic, but a talking stick as well.

Crap. If it was just SSO, then we wouldn't have been forced to share our contacts, or be nagged to connect with people we might know. Or have viable products shutdown and forced into the G+ alternative. G+ is a lame attempt at the social network information grab. Get as much info about as many people to be able to sell to advertisers. Fuck Google and fuck Facebook. They make Apple and Microsoft look good by comparison.

FB served it's purpose but like most things past their peak, it is becoming bogged down in shit. I have teenage kids, none of them use it, they're all on Instagram and some other apps I've never heard of.

It's clear there too much political indifference to reduce emissions, so instead of trying to force skeptics/deniers/unbelievers into towing the line, why not a contract with them. You're choose to be on the bus and help reduce the problem, or stick to your guns and face consequences if it turns out the science was right. I imagine you'd start by laying down a set of climate benchmarks, agree on what is an acceptable variation under normal conditions, then should the averages begin to venture beyond those on the regular basis, and cause significant economic damage, the public (govt) confiscates all the assets of the entity, the directors, the board, and any previous board members/directors and anyone they gifted or passe don wealth to, from now on. Seems like a fair way to deal with the problem, since if you firmly believe things won't change you have nothing to lose. Sure we end up in the shit, but it's clear we end up in the shit anyway, at least this way we eventually there's some risk to be taken on-board and we save all the pointless arguments. Right now the carbon industry has nothing to lose by blocking their ears, and this is this problem

Ryan Gosling would make an equally cheesy Tom Cruise, and Tom Cruise could play the Jester role. Throw in some 911 and Gulf war references and it's a guaranteed winner.

You're making the assumption that people who make movies care about such things. Blade Runner 2 is a little pot of gold waiting to be cashed in. That is all that matters. Things like the plot, or the characters, or continuity do not matter.

I'm going to stay the hell away from this movie.

Wise choice. There is no possible way a sequel can improve the story, it can only make it worse.

Predator seems to be overkill for the job. Surely there must be other UAVs that fit the requirement of autonomous, long endurance, low cost, with surveillance? Wiki tells me a Predator goes for $4mil/unit. I'm struggling to see where that money goes when there things like this can be bought for a little over $1000. The smarts is in the software, so add similar intelligence into a $100k UAV should be able to yield the same results as a predator for 2.5% of the cost. With 40 times as many aircraft for the same dollar, Border Control ceases to be an issue.
