    Just some thoughts:

With this, we will see an increasing number of bad configured Linux-boxes. Next, people start complaining about how bad Linux is, how unreliable etc...

Recently I was asked to help install Netscape on a Windows-box. Well... imagine a PII/266 with 128 MByte RAM throwing errors at you that he's running low on Memory. Now, imagine a Desktop cluttered with started programs like AIM, Yahoo-Messenger, two different Office-Suites... With installations like these you could even bring a Linux-box to its knees.

I don't know if I really want this. But I know that I'll refuse to clean those messes up!!

I just have brought mine back to live today. The Power-Supply of my A3000-Tower was broken.
I replaced it with a normal PC-Power-Supply, connected the wires to the correct wires coming from the motherboard.

Plus, I had to rejumper J350 to "_vsync" since the new supply was lacking a wire with a 50 Hz rate.

I found a some very helpful infos to do this on the following website:

Admitted, it would mess up the tables with the search-results.

If you can take the time to search for an MP3 on Napster, then you sure can take the time to search for free Music you'd like too.

There are lots and lots of good tracks around from artists whose main goal is to be heard by a large audience. As it is for the Techno-Band of my friend and me. (Nope, no names here, no spam on Slashdot!)

Over here in switzerland, you can have your entry in the phonebook marked as "does not wish advertising". The entry is then marked with a little star.

Of course, I have mine entry marked and spam-calls have decreased at almost 99 %. (Though it wasn't that much calls anyway, but it's annoying nontheless.)
When someone calls me to advertise whatever it is, I just tell him that I do not wish any advertising by phone and refer to the marked entry. If the caller would insist on advertising, this then would be illegal.
