    How can those 5 ballot boxes be counted at all. If they were left unsecured then they have to be considered tainted and discarded. The votes recorded in those boxes cannot ever be counted as who is to say who's votes are in those boxes unless they can be verified by some means. Such as the individual voter being contacted and their ballot verified.

    I have unsubscribed more than once, they have slammed me again by resetting my preferences.
    I think if you do not visit them or buy anything in a set amount of time they slam your settings and send you spew to try and get you back on their site.

    I have had this experiencce with others as well. They say "you must have made a mistake when you set your preferences" and without a recipt for the setting made, how can you argue?

    Such an ability would be stunningly simple to incorporate into Carnivore with keyword searches, nobody has to read it unless it gets flaged by the search.

    This is it exactly. Your mail would be read by a machine. Machine or human I see no difference, I don't want anyone especially a government agency to be able to read my mail without an explicit search warrant. That I believe is a basic right.

    opening multiple accounts with IP# only, they then do their own DNS to point to the website on the IP account. When the IP account gets nuked they switch the DNS to the next IP acount (mirror website) so it can be accessed with the same URL thus getting more mileage from their spamvertised URLs. Bastards

    The pneumatics you speak of used in F1 are substitute for valve springs and close the valve. They use a standard camshaft to open the valves. Electronic actuators open (and close) the valve. I think there may be a problem generating and collapsing a magnetic field large enough to opperate a valve that fast (14~16,000 rpm). May need some cryo stuff to overclock those valve actuators. :>)

    Well now you cant make everyone happy, and government is suppose to represent the majority. But I would like to hear from cross section of this group, and their opinion, endorsment or lack of regarding the recent activity revloving around these issues. Do they view napster as a threat to their livelyhood?
    Personally if I was interested in a bands cd in this situation I would by it from the band (assuming they made it availlable as easily as an mp3). That is a personal choice I make in my efforts to support grassroots enities.
    You must also consider the other angle, where if a band wished to distribute via this medium, they would not be allowed if the record companies had their way. Take note of the following similar situation, Go to an NHRA Drag race and try to buy a TeeShirt from your favorite racer who you wish to support...... Bzzzzzztt - SORRY! You must purchase the shirt from an authorized NHRA distributor. So that IS a double edged sword you are waving around.
