  1. Re:WGA on IE7 Released As High-Priority Update · · Score: 1

When I installed IE 7 on several client's computers, it did a WGA check. Now, if it does a check when it installs... does it matter if it is a high priority update?

  2. Re:More then one way on Microsoft Genuine Advantage Cracked in 24 Hours · · Score: 1

I was looking at this earlier today actually. On one machine with SP2 installed, it worked nicely. But, some machines around here dont have SP2 due to software incompatibily. Does anyone know if this works on Pre-SP2? I looked into it briefly today, and the Manage Add-On button isnt present with SP1.

And yes, of course all the systems have valid licenses, etc, etc.

I have been with Fido in Vancouver for about 4 years now, and the only times I have ever had problems getting through on the networks is when I was downtown during the Symphony of Fire, or Festival of Lights, or whatever they call it these days.

Other than on those 3 days per year, I have had no problems with a busy network or anything like that.

  7. Re:OK, I'm intrigued beyond reckoning on One-Man Star Wars Trilogy in Chicago · · Score: 3, Interesting

I saw this show when it was in vancouver, and I have to admit, it was much better than I thought it could be! He captured the spirit of the saga, sound effects and all, cutting out the boring parts to make it flow well from one movie to the next.

At the end, he gave away a free original starwars record to a person in the audiance who could answer his question... Simple for any starwars nut. What does TIE stand for? Unfortunatly, I was not quick enough to get my hand up. Oh well.

Anyway, if this is in your town, and you like starwars, go see it. You wont be dissapointed.

  10. Re:Screw Katz ... I LIKED Antitrust! on Antitrust · · Score: 1

I liked it too. I really dont see why no one seemed to like it. Mind you, my girlfriend goes to school at UBC, which is where the movie was filmed.... I have been inside the building (The "Chan Center") which is where most of the movie was filmed, like the caffateria, the main room where all the programmers sit, the mansion, all that was the chan center. The daycare center was called "the mini chan center" by all the ubc students, because it looked like the chan center, only smaller, and it was built by the film company.

So, seeing where they filmed it, and being in the building, it was interesting to see the movie, and it kept both my girlfriend and myself entertained.

Well, I dont know much about an LCD, but the company I work for buys Plasma displays. We get them in 42" and 62". The 42" model will run you about $16,000 canadian.... or $9000 if your an NEC dealer like us... Still pretty pricey, but something to definatly consider.
