I'm thinking this is gonna be on tv. Many large companies webpages are not going to be running as they should be and will probably get something going about it.
My own speculation/opinion, of course. What do you suggest I ask Bob Young anyhow? I guess I could since it would make for a decent conversation, but I'm sure of what he will probably come up with. Maybe you should ask Patrick Volkerding?
Hmm.. well, maybe it goes beyond the software itself and instead the decisions of the people who develope it. For example, redhat tries to make money off of their software and leans to making it more commercial. This is kinda why some people don't care for it, like myself. Instead, I would rather run a distrobution put together by someone who isn't money-driven, but tries to make the software the best it can be, instead of tending to the people who are willing to pay for it.
I think windows 3.1 should be rated as more stable than win9x. They are actually making the o/s worse as they add more crap to it. I like the linux ratings tho.
"Everything you do will be more fun." - Windows 98 setup. Everything?? My ass!
Game support for linux is good, at least another part of the software developing world can be working on our side. Afterall, look at what happened with q3, everyone was hurrying to get redhat(gag) on their computers.
I use 2 operating systems on my home computers. One of which is for games and the other I use for its stability and reliability among other things. I am, or course, speaking of Windows 98 and Linux. I get things done well this way and I don't see any need for Windows NT at all. If I want to run an os with good networking support which is nicely customizable and would like to make use of its great developmental utilities, well I'm most always in linux. Good thing for windows and its support for my Riva 128 card so I can get my hands on q3, at least until windows crashes and I'm back to linux as to not get to pissed off over something that makes no sense at all. I don't like to put up with windows' problems. Oh well...
I have written mail to Nvidia which I am yet to get a reply. I nicely asked them if they will be releasing info for developers or if they are looking for developers for Riva 128 drivers or anything dealing with their Riva 128/linux customers. Well, since they are to busy to help me out can someone please explain what they think is the problem here? Should I expect to ever see drivers for my STB Velocity 128(8mb agp) which make use of its OpenGL accelleration?
From the looks of this website I would not buy this product, but some of these products could make some decent money if you were to invest in some stocks. Take a look at www.empeg.com, I'm considering putting some money into them if it is possible. I have read they already have a ton of people on a waiting list to purchase the player when it is manufactured.

Way to be.

Haha. I don't even think WinNT will install on a machine like that. While linux, of course, would perform good on a system with those specs, I'm sure.

Vi in itself is a superior editor, while Vim with the syntax highlighting is all the better.
