    Much less militant pedestrians and cyclists like we have here in Seattle. I drive work vehicles sometimes in downtown Seattle, and even being as slow and careful as I can, I still almost hit them. Several times, I've had pedestrians walk into my car while I was stopped or cyclists that swerve into my work truck when I'm going straight in a lane. I don't see how an autonomous car can do better.

    Also, there's the issue of too many signs and traffic signals. There's one intersection near my office that has more than fifty signs and lights. Even though I drive through it regularly, it's still scary.

  2. We shouldn't do that, because it will hurt the Democrats. Turn-out helps us in almost every election. When we can get the people to the polls that don't care about politics, we win. By limiting votes, you are basically handing the elections to the Republicans.

    than I have now in Seattle. I had 15 Mbps cable in Mississippi, but only 160 kbps in downtown Seattle. While I have a few friends that have left Seattle to take jobs elsewhere with faster access, people aren't leaving in droves.

    Outlook is an email client. It is not an "email solution." Plus, I was managing email servers for nearly 3k people using sendmail and a POP3 server nearly twenty-five years ago.

    No. This is a tech site, so I'm sure the vast majority of people here are using standard email clients instead of something proprietary that doesn't work very well, especially with interoperability.
