  1. Re: just enforcing terms on T-Mobile To Throttle Customers Who Use Unlimited LTE Data For Torrents/P2P · · Score: 1

I agree, with both sides but you always will have people that abuse the system which makes them have to do this. The fact that this "hurts" mostly people that break the TOS in the first place I don't see the big deal. It does hurt normal customers which always happens but in my eyes I'd be passed if everyone was torrenting and p2p that aren't even for their phone too...

I would take it apart and fix it. Usually it's a plug or cable that comes undone or a chip pops off. Check the internal battery connection also! The board itself shouldn't actually break. If something needs to be re soldered a shop will do if for like 10 bucks. Even if the display doesn't boot the system will and you can connect in. Worst case you destroy the chips by hand... Fixing it if it's clear where it broke inside is usually faster.

It's not over they'll be asking for more. I support NASA as my friend is a NASA rocket scientist and he is far from rich. He figures out amazing solutions I'd never think of. I also have another friend that manufactures for NASA (by contracts) and he's rolling in money and has 2 huge houses. It's their efficiency and spending ways that make me rage not the projects.

  5. NASA needs to fix it's Org. . on SLS Project Coming Up $400 Million Short · · Score: 2

My problem with NASA isn't the projects as SLS is a decent one. It's how they work, planning is always way off, spending is always high and final products are always late. They really need to figure out a solution to these problems, everytime things like this are released it makes them look bad. 400 mil isn't that much for this project but still could people of such high intelligence not see it coming or find a better way to plan? You know they are going to need more before it even launches. I'm sure it's not all them but what they do to get approved.... still you can always improve in planning, spending and efficiency.
When it's taxpayer money it always seems like people think it's unlimited.

In my experience AMD has won bang 4 buck and lasts longer just stay away from xx and other cheap hardware brands. NIVIDIA is trying to push them out they are already trying to force nividia only hardware on monitors, the companies are saying no universal is the key will give you a slot.

  20. Some of the reasons I think.. on US College Students Still Aren't All That Interested In Computer Science · · Score: 2

When I went to college I changed from Computer Science to Business. I feel there are a couple reasons of this and why it hasn't changed... First off it takes a certain person to program, as stated above some people will take it in like a sponge and some people will just never get it right. (I had that part down)
Secondly the poor funding and options in this area for colleges, I think sports teams get more funding than Computer Science. (That's how it was at my school.) I learned more off the interweb than I ever did from the classes.
Third Computer Science was very restricted on what schools, jobs, internships that I could get. It was so restrictive that I and others changed to business, math, etc... which opened up our opportunities tenfold.

In my experience I had more opportunities going ANY other path other than CS. If it happened with me than I am sure it happened to 1,000 of other college kids.

DRM isn't the problem is how overboard the companies go with the DRM. Like it was stated already companies want hardware info, hard drive info and probably even webcam images. I feel a simple effective user friendly DRM is fine, anything more than that will start a new war on the Internet. Hurting them and the user more than its helping anyone. Remember when ads didn't try to take over your computer?
