    They protect their citizens from foreign laws just as we do.

    Legislation is not appropriate.

    The word you're looking for is, "treaty."

    Legislation by America is one-sided and has no standing in jurisdictions of other sovereign countries.

    The ruination of the Internet is monetization.

    When the userbase crossed the threshold of critical mass, businesses realized that, whatever their demographic, new customers were online.

    That was, and will continue to be, the end.

    For you and I to complain about it would be like a can of Coke bitching about being red.

    We have valuable assets that we cannot sell.

    I'm pretty sure all acts of espionage are classed as treason.

    "Pretty sure" is pretty weak.

    The "classes" of treason are what I cited above, directly from the Constitution, and explains precisely why Edward Snowden could not be charged with treason.

    He did not declare war against the United States. The last time that happened was the Civil War.

    He did not aid any enemies because the United States has no list of enemies. The last list was WWII.

    Edward Snowden is charged with, among other things, espionage.

    Americans cannot be traitors unless they declare war against America.

    The last time this happened was the Civil War.

    Americans can be traitors by

    America has no list of enemies.

    The last time that happened was WWII.

    Traitors are those guilty of treason.

    Where your guess is off is in assuming the existence of journalists.

    The business model of "news," is to attract eyeballs.

    Those eyeballs belong to you and me.

    We're way more interested in a pregnant woman's parody of a pregnant giraffe.

    All eyes continue to be on April the giraffe. Everyone is waiting for her to give birth. Video of the giraffe, who is at the Animal Adventure Park in New York, went viral last week as millions of people stayed glued to her story.

    Actual journalism doesn't sell.
