    This is not widely known or accurate. I have a hardware/software solution that pulls a direct digital stream from XM (and encodes into mp3). The sound quality destroys any FM tuner I have ever heard. There really is no comparison.

    I think the problem is that most people use bad XM hardware hooked up via analog to questionable audio hardware.

    Because we designed everything using EJBs and a decent middle tier we were able to convert everything over in two days (two senior developers).

    Intelligent design isn't a valid scientific theory. It can't be tested or observed, it is no better than creationism in that respect.

    It is not science to say "because we can't explain it today, it must be intelligent design". At one point we couldn't explain feather evolution (and people cried "Intelligent design!!"), now we can explain it fully (or nearly) with the fossil record. (Consequently, it looks like dinasaurs had feathers, and even flight type feathers long before birds).

    The only reason why we have the "theory" of intelligent design is so that the more "able minded" creationists would have a theory to cling to that wasn't as full of holes as creationism. ID also doesn't suffer the possibility of being proved wrong, it can't be proved or disproved, a much easier position for the religious to defend.

    ID = Creationism + spin.

    I have to say no, most people use IE because they actually want to use the internet. Every few months I see a new slashdot post that says "Try the new Mozilla!! It no longer sucks!".

    Today it was "try Firebird/Mozilla, it rules!!" well you know what? Firebird sucked in it's primary object... actually using the internet. Who gives a shit about popupstoppers and all that other crap when the damn thing can't even render fairly common sites. I suggest we worry about IE innovation AFTER there is a reasonable alternative. Mozilla is not it, and I am not paying for Opera.

    For what it is worth, the two sites I check on were paymybills.com and bankofamerica.com. Firebird screwed up all the "title" bar things on paymybills.com (asthetic) and completely failed to render anything remotely usable on the account details page on bankofamerica's site.

    Screw standards.... IE is the STANDARD (currently) it is cute how the W3C claims they are relevent (when it comes to web/html standards) but this simply is not the case. Microsoft IS the current web standards body. The only way to change that is to wrestle away market share. If Mozilla wants to matter, they MUST introduce a compatibility mode to make it behave like IE. I know it sucks, but until they do this Mozzilla will (remain) irrelevant.

    I fly all the time in winds over 10 mph (30 size gas), but you are correct, it really takes a lot out of me when I do it, and it generally isn't as much fun as a calmn day.

    For what it is worth, the trick for flying on a windy is hovering it into the wind when hovering/landing/taking off. Be watchful for wind gusts, these can cause the helicopter to dip/raise suddently, particularly if you are sideways in the wind (the gyro will try to keep you from weathervaning, which will rob horsepower).

    Micro helicopters are much harder to fly, even in absolute calmn. Hummingbird and Piccolo (and helis that size) can be flown outside if the wind is calm, but I suspect that the pixel would have a much harder time.

    If someone came to slashdot and said "Linux sucks" I suspect they would get the same response, unless, of course, they had new or interesting material.
