It's now based off of Chromium, same as Chrome. The similarities are much more than skin deep. The old Opera that we knew and loved has been dead for a LONG time.
When I read "The Sexual Misconduct Case That Has Rocked Anthropology" I was thinking that it would be something about neanderthals and apes having sex or whatever. Sexual misconduct among modern humans in positions of authority is still shocking?
To the tune of "when the moon's in your eye, like a big pizza, pie, thats's a-mor-e
When the local priest does it
And then the pope hides it
That's a-mor-e
When the cellmate you call Bubba
Says "on your knees, sucka"
That's a-mor-e
When the guy at the bar
Slips you ludes, goes to far,
That's a-mor-e
When the cop says "Let's say"
"We can make this go away."
That's a-mor-e
Humans are really, really f*cked up
Say it's not rape, you're a slut
And claim its a-mor-e
Yes, motorcycles use sequential shift standard transmissions - but they don''t disguise it to look like an ordinary gear shift. For motorcycles, one foot works the shift lever, the other the rear brakes. No mistaking that. Also, since it uses a clutch, there is no "park" - just stick it in gear.
Every software update comes with an implied warranty of fitness for use, so Magnuson-Moss applies. Also, some of these phones were under their original warranty at the time, and worked fine afterwards, until the software update bricked them. Some of them weren't even repaired - just the original button stopped working, so the phone got bricked. How is THAT a "repair created a security breach", when there was no repair and the phone was under warranty?
Since we're heading into a deflationary period (Japan is already at negative interest rates), there's no loss of purchasing power for cash. Just look at gas prices as one example. Electronics are another.
Coins last decades, if not centuries, and the new polymer money outlasts the old cotton paper money, and you just have to wipe it clean with a damp cloth. The polymer money is a lot harder to counterfeit - it's not like all you need is a scanner and a color printer any more, not with transparent embedded windows and holograms.
"It will be done when it's done" isn't just for single programmers, you know. Oh, wait - you obviously don't. To bad, so sad. Maybe you should tell Linus that's he's doing it wrong.
The first electric plane to cross the English channel was in 1981.
On July 7, 1981, the aircraft flew 163 miles from Pontoise – Cormeilles Aerodrome, north of Paris, France to Manston Royal Air Force Base in Manston, United Kingdom, staying aloft 5 hours and 23 minutes, with pilot Stephen Ptacek at the controls. Currently the plane is owned by the Smithsonian Institution's Air and Space Museum.
Next, they're going to want to ban all the computers that say "How may I serve you, master?" (or mistress, let's not get all sexist here) on startup... just like they got all in a tizzy over master and slave drives.
If there's such a war on cash, why do they keep printing so much? Oh, wait, the war on cash is the people who make money from processing transactions who are cut out of the loop when cash is used. Nothing to prevent you from using cash...
I view bitcoin as a superiour source of liquidity and that's more important to me than day-to-day pricing accuracy.
Cash is still King. Very liquid, accepted almost anywhere around the world, doesn't come with the infrastructure overhead for each transaction that bitcoins have... you can even exchange it for goods and services out at a wilderness campsite with no internet, no electricity, and no computer.
Yes, I read that. Doesn't change the fact that it's toxic and will need to be designed around - and that they may be wrong in their ability to do so when other factors are taken into account. They were also confident in many other things that didn't work out as intended.

Motorcycles don't have park, and only overstuffed pigs meant to be ridden by overstuffed pigs have a reverse.
Most parking brakes no longer even work. Corrosion and lack of use ...
So everyone is using a DVORAK keyboard now, and nobody is saying you can have my QWERTY keyboard when you pry it from my cold dead hands?

Won't happen here because of the definition of legal tender. Same as, unlike Europe, there's no squeeze to ban burner phones or cash cards.

And the Solar Impulse series can charge it's batteries enough during the day to fly to the next dawn. It did a non-stop flight from Japan to Hawaii.
And Airbus has a jump on them as well.
Why not let the user choose the gender - same as real life ??? :-)
The correct answer is none - they expect to be able to hold the light bulb steady and have the whole universe turn around them.

What ever happened to "it will be done when it's done?" Oh, right .... marketing ....
Didn't you get the memo? Mozilla is uncool now, so anything you can think of to bash them with, go right ahead, don't worry about facts.
You needed a memo???
German officials recently suggested to make all transactions larger than 5000 Euros illegal in cash.
Kind of hard to stop it from happening ...
Bitcoin is still the gold standard in value of cryptocoins
Oh, the irony, oh the absurdity ... the gold standard died decades ago ...
What a pain. I take out my chip-and-pin debit card, type in a 4 to 6 digit number and the transaction is approved.
We will need to develop something that can provide some kind of direct peer to peer method of exchange to replace it.
Cash. Preferable in large unmarked bills in a brown envelope. Tradition never gets old :-)

It's because they didn't know how to spell "dystopian".

Not when they give you back your quarter, then break open another roll of quarters to give you back three more.
