Typically, slow connects are usually a modem or wiring issue, such as interference from RF, quality of wiring, distance from the telco, etc...remember, anything using sound to transmit data, you're opening a pandora's box for problems.
Try different modem init strings, modem updates, etc.
Visit 56k=v.Unreliable. Pretty deceint site for modem troubleshooting.

The Clinton-damaged economy has taken enough blows.
So I guess you're ready to go back to Regan Economics with the trickle down bullshit and double digit unemployment?
Quite frankly, I'm enjoying the so called "Clinton-Damaged" economy for the last few years. Hopefully, your buddy boy Georgie W Bush doesn't destroy what we built for the last 8 or so years.
There are numerous over the counter and prescription antifungal medications to cure the fungal infection. Perhaps they should have a mission where they cover the whole thing with some antifungal topical cream, or if it's an internal fungal infection, use some Monistat-7.
My Toshiba SD2109 doesn't play audio CDRs either...I think it's more of a compatibility problem than anything else. Oh well, I only use it for movies anyways.
But they are trolls. First posts have nothing to do with the story, and down right stupid (I still don't get the point..) hence they should be moderated down.
Back on topic:)...it's nice to have this product ported to Linux...maybe other good apps will follow, though I really hate the "for Redhat Linux" statement. *shrug*
Call up the ISP and say that person was hacking your computer or something.. they'll give you the name (and maybe even phone # and home address). Go to one of the online phone directories, look up the name. Give the person a call.. "Is it true your father molests you?"
Usually untrue. Providers generally don't give out this sort of info without a court order of some type.
Hey, just show your support to studios that put out "all region compatible" DVDs by purchasing "all region compatible" DVDs. These are quite rare, but I do own one DVD that is supposely "all region compatible", which is Gwar's "Phallus In Wonderland".:)
The guy is pretty lucky to get a domain that he can make that much money on. Judging from domain name auctions on Ebay, success in selling a domain name is pretty rare (of course, when you set your minimal bid to $5,000,000US on a lame domain, prepare to keep it for a while.:).
IBM Aptivas used to come with those Mwave modems, which were probably the worst modems on earth, an ISP's tech support's nightmare. Then they got those LT winmodems which were better, but still can be a pain. Good ridance, Aptivas.
Customer: "I thought I was getting the best in the business when I purchased an IBM!"
I figured that it would die out, but not this quickly, since I saw a Divx/Circuit City commerical just a few nights ago. Now customers are going to be stuck with a Divx player plays DVDs at poor quality. They should get a total refund, especially if they recently purchashed it, or atleast a trade in on a real DVD player.
I played Quake happily on a 486 133 (one of those AMD 5x86 processors) for about a year. Sure it was only 9 to 15 FPS, but at the time it was all I had:)
The ISP I work for actually charges customers that spam using our system. Users who send mass unsolicited email through our system will incur a charge of $1000, plus a charge of $25 for each spam message sent through our system, $10 for each complaint received by the our staff as a result of the spam, and $25 for each message bounced back to us as a result of the spam. Mailbombers will also be billed at the same rate. :)

Have a good day. :)
> GNU/Linux Worm? Is there a dash between anal and retentive?
Nah, we'd be snooping down to his level. Unfortunately, he's getting what he wanted in the first place with these attacks....attention.
Tell me, is there a hyphen between anal and retentive?
For Pete's sake, Mr. Lucas, please leave Jar Jar Binks out this time.
:)
Thanks.

You are correct, sir. Cisco's stuff is very good and very reliable. I wouldn't use anything else as a router (their switch line is good, too).
Please don't compare Cisco to MSFT or even Intel.

Try reading Spacemoose. If you have any reason to hate online comic strips at all, you can find it here. :)

Why did he feel the need to zip the readme? It's only 5 bloody kilobytes. :)

This isn't new. I remember doing this about two years ago, although the webserver part I think is new on the QNX floppy demo. It is cool, tho. :)
Hell, there are cities that don't even have cable. :)
I wanna reserve a copy. :)

Well, so long Divx!
Go FreeBSD! :)
Wow....Walnut Creek's FTP server is mighty popular
though.
