    Has nothing to do with overhead searches for heat, which is what Wrath0fb0b was referencing, when you can see the person & the plants in plain view trying to cut them down.

    LOL, Right I was told at Dulles, when flying on vacation and informing the TSA goon my son would not be going into the back scatter machine because he will get enough radiation in his life, that it is sound waves and not radiation. They didn't force the issue and I let the matter drop after correcting him once & realizing I may as well be talking to the wall.

    Sigh Thanks Einstein, guess thats why you work for the TSA not the NSF.

    I was and i wasn't. Since /. Isn't CC I'm aware that any pro-drug post here carries with it being labled & the chance of a pro-drug-war troll fest.

    I have seen the mame though in the forums of "thats why i buy american" , and yes without sticking my head out to far from the shell I buy high end for more then just that reason however. Being high end you can be pretty sure it isn't coming from afganistan or mexico, usually its from CA or the northern east cost.

    Thats why I always buy American!! It's the only thing to do as its my patriotic duty to keep jobs and money here in the states.

    Rememeber to check that made in america lable, or dont be afraid to ask your local dealer, "am i funding mexico cartels with this purchase?"

    Won't make a bit of good except for the ones that are paying attention and really know what they are doing. Most are script kiddys that will hammer a server not paying attention to the fact that their password attempts aren't even being sent because keyboard authentication is turned off.

      I had to resort to tcp/ip wrappers & firewall rules blocking china, korea & other domains that have no business on my server. I think that's the easiest way

    Hard drive enclosures have been 3.0 for a few months now. I'm thinking of upgrading my old workhorse 1.1. Like the poster above I splurged on a new machine this new year and it has both 2 & 3.0 USB.

    I second this Air video is very nice because it will re-encode a bunch of different video types either on the fly or prior and then streams it to the device which has a limited amount of formats the quicktime player understands.

    I don't now how many dinners out have been saved by giving my 4 year old the iphone and cranking up a disney flick on airvideo when he gets antsy and toys or coloring isn't working & we are still trying to finish. One time he was one of four kids I counted in the restaurant, so we must be on to something.

    I swear I saw a story the other night that they printed out a heart. I was only half paying attention and had a few drinks so I just kind of shook it off like I must have missed something. Turns out they didn't just print them out but the thing beats.... eeerry

    I have to agree. No matter if you feel that some of the leaks were justified or not the military will not allow this to slide without making an example out of him to make sure no one else does this again. With the death penalty out hes facing: "life in prison, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, a reduction in rank to the lowest enlisted pay grade, E-1, and a dishonorable discharge" which in this case doesn't seem unreasonable considering what happened to the couple that leaked classified atomic energy documents, and what they could bring against him.

    Interesting thought although I'm fairly sure he would have never reached general population anyway. Even in military /gov prisons Manning would be a target.
