They have a little power in every country they sell their stuff in. They didn't seem to have any trouble having `local` authorities bust down Johansen's door in Norway.
Hey, that looks like the one my grandma was making the other day...;)
That's a large motherboard. Any particular reason why you're making it so big? Why not a small motherboard? Are there certain features that warrant it? Even if you did have to use better graphics (ala video card) there are baby ATX boards out there, or smaller boards with one PCI slot.
Can't say much more without you listing the components you're using. I'm interested in the software you'll be using (probably writing). Pop up a web page about the parts, with the pictures, and the source, and I'd bet you'd have a popular site. There might be webrings out there of other people doing the same thing, I know that the homemade car-mp3 players had a large community....
I myself want to make a cheap laptop alternative with a small motherboard like the one I linked above. Something small that would fit in a backpack, with firewire hard drive and firewire CDR. And a large LCD built into the backpack. --all for ripping/encoding CD's while at the library.
Really, it all starts when a company goes public, and board members start caring only about the bottom line.
Look at large companies that are still family-owned and you'll be reminiscing (sp?) about the good ol days. These are (usually) the type that want a profit, but are willing to make employees happy, etc.
I don't think Google would spider eBay that often or that quickly. A person's auction would be over by then.
And don't forget, that link you had...is only searching on the name of the GIF/JPG or meta tags attached. LOL. It doesn't actually look at the picture. I could post a picture of a dog and call it CD-R.jpg and it would show up in that search.
Hey, no arguments here...there are always better deals, have been for years.
The only reason I mention this Best Buy deal is because it's practically a permanent deal there. I can also get it by walking to the store (most great deals are through the internet) and the memorex brand Best Buy carries has always been very good.
I started burning mp3's to memorex (from best buy) starting in 1998, and I can still read them all today, MP3CD#0001 to MP3CD#1203
You mean, like the truth? Let me get this straight... we should listen to you, who said she sold 12 albums. Yep, I'm sure that's right....but successful artists don't have to resort to such desperate ploys to get their name in the paper...
Right. We've never seen desperate acts from sucessful artists...like Metalica. Britney Spears (check out the new commercials coming out in the movie theaters). It's all showbiz, they are all called media whores for a reason.
The point is: How does the computer know when you started the next character? Or moved your hand to the next line. If it somehow read the rollerball to record your movement, you would end up with one big scribbled spot.
It's true that the Big-5 might not want to sell her records. But she would like to, and she can make money because her overhead is so much smaller. But the Big-5 would rather sit on it.
This is besides the point. The OP was saying she bitched about her albums not selling. She's never complained about that.
However in any free-competitive market, if there is a need for a service, then that service will be created.
The service you describe as being needed is a way for you to find good music.
I'm sure there are web sites, radio stations, online radio stations, music magazines that could fill this void, if only they were allowed a level playing field.
Combining music and computers is great. You can compile databases of genres and their descriptions. Reference artists and albums to these genres. Build a database of artists you currently like, and reference this info to new artists you hopefully would like. I've seen similar things with movies.
Just because Janis Ian isn't prancing around in a pepsi commercial, doesn't make her a failure.
Janis has never complained about her records selling. Her complaints usually relate to not being ALLOWED to sell them. I won't really go into it, since it'll look like an article, and we know you don't read those...
Mine too. I feel that it is nice to live in USA where we have libraries too.

Of course, the MPAA believes that your housemate's solution would be to just buy all DVD's to replace her cassettes. $$$$$
what about DVD-R's?
For instance MP3's on a DVD-R or SVCD movie(s) on DVD-R?
I'm in the same situation with a TV with only RF input. (it was a gift, what are you gonna do)
My $20 radio shack RF-modulator solved that, and I never ran into the macrovision problem (I haven't had to turn it off)
I doubt the ten billion dollars IBM is spending on this is so that they can get your to run MS-Word on their AppServer.
....As usual, really cool stuff comes from high energy physics (www anyone?)....
I didn't know physicists developed the web?

no...that's the CIA
They've already got the HOTLINE number to call if you want to Narc on someone.
Yea, no kidding. It sounds like instead of expensive drugs, or Chemo, they could just take essence-o-broccoli
I was thinking he could just make a small graphic that had the word CD-R in it... No way to 'search' on that.
another actor's child dies of starvation tonight....

Best Buy sells 100-paks of Memorex for $30, with a $20 rebate. I've successfully gotten all my rebates back in 1.5 months.
That comes to $5 for 50.
For CDR maybe, but not CDRW.
Unless you also throw your hard drives away after each use...
Considering I have no clue on how they turn a profit, I guess we have to be happy with what we get.

Unless you wrote in cursive, and in a circle

I was wondering who those articles were ridiculing. Now I know it was YOU!

.....because all of the laws and lawsuits in the world won't solve their problems, in fact, they will only make them worse...
Unfortunately, we have yet to see about that.
