"They were provoked" is never an excuse for violence. The Pope must, of course, defend his religious perspective, but the fact remains that words and pictures are still only words and pictures.
If you can't make a solid business case, you're wasting your time. Present a solid business case which shows a cost/benefit analysis. If the numbers don't make sense, you'll be out of luck.
You must not have watched the entire video. The advice is "Don't talk to the cops without an attorney". There is always time later to confess, but the fundamental reality of our criminal justice system is that it is a bargaining table. A suspect who gives up everything they have to bargain with at the very beginning is ultimately unable to win a fair sentence. Again, the U.S. Criminal Justice system is a bargaining table. Lawyers know this. Judges know this. Pretty much all legal professionals know this. Therefor, don't talk to the cops *without a lawyer*.
When a staff member came to me the first time and asked for help setting up mail on his Blackberry, I told him I'd get back to him after I researched it. Once I figured out that you had to provide complete logon credentials to RIM, I banned the devices. Staff can have them if they wish, but they are not to be used with our corporate mail (or any other) systems.
Back then, RIM gave you two options - give up your corporate security or buy a $3000 machine from RIM to talk to Blackberries. IMO, neither option was acceptable.
Make a strong business case to support the budget levels you actually need. It may be that 10% or even 20% reduction isn't a bad idea. If you can't support your "needs" with a business case, you don't need it.
It's time to move on. Labor and work will soon be relics of the past. We need to find an economic model that functions without those things. As efficiency continues to improve, the human workforce becomes more and more obsolete.
I read the developers whining about piracy, but they never seem to have any independent source study to cite which confirm these numbers. Anecdotal evidence immediately available to me suggests that they are full of crap. I know 15 or so Android users and none of them pirate anything. This is like Az. Governor Jan Brewer citing beheadings in the desert as the reason for the need of stronger immigration controls (there were no such beheadings - she made it up). Before statements like this are even seriously discussed, show us the independent sources.
I said it back in '01 and I'll repeat it now. By giving up our freedom in the name of security, we have allowed the terrorists to prevail. Pursue them. Hunt them down. Deal with those who have harbored them as enemies of the US. But we should never have relinquished a single liberty for the sake of security.

When I was in High School (30+) years ago, Drivers Education spent a lot of time going over police video/film from accident scenes. Un-cut. All the gruesome results in brilliant full color. Most of us learned that 4000+ pounds of steel and glass + high velocity + inattention = gruesome consequences.
Those reels should be mandatory for every driver. Not everyone will "get it", but enough will.
Not likely. I despised "W" giving the okey-dokey to invade the persons and privacy of people in the US then and feel betrayed that our current President has done nothing to fix the problem.
Terrorist: Look at that! 600 people waiting in the security check point line at LAX!!! More than they can fit on any plane!!! Terrorist: *BOOM*
Hey AC, what exactly is "reasonable suspicion" of being an undocumented immigrant? SB1070 does, in fact, target anyone who "looks" like an illegal immigrant. In Arizona, that would most likely be Chicano. If I'm a bleeding heart for not wanting my citizen friends to be harassed for "looking" Mexican, then so be it.
F*** you. In releasing "hundreds of private intelligence bulletins, training manuals, personal email correspondence, names, phone numbers, addresses and passwords belonging to Arizona law enforcement." you have endangered the lives and families of Arizona's DPS officers.
It is my sincerest hope that you will be caught and sent to Guantanamo Bay, where you will be interrogated for an extended period of time, then brought back to the Mainland US where you will be tried and convicted of your crimes against the State.
I am against SB1070 and in favor of immigration reform. What you have done is expose AZ DPS officers families to retribution from violent drug cartels and vicious petty criminals. You suck LulzSec.

You should escalate. Go over his head so you can show the bosses what an arrogant idiot you are; how you are willing to risk the hospitals money and reputation so that you and your team can conveniently get your calendar on your iPhone.
While you do that, I recommend you polish up your resume. You'll need it.
I remember back around Y2K they were burning through capital and had zero profits to show.
Not that I'm really a fan of Ubuntu, but I've never had to do anything but click through to the download.

Video is only really helpful if you know who it is you are watching.
