According to statistics, a reasonable minimum wage adjusted from 1971 for NYC would be $40 an hour.
This makes sense. This is also very near the Seattle, Austin, and Mountain View poverty lines. Anyone making less than this should also qualify for medicaid since about 75% of an income like that goes to shelter/food/water/heat in these places.
Wouldn't mind taking a look at those statistics though.
I have tickets to the local soccer team. They tried to get us to use the seat geek app (highly data collection / data leaking / full of adverts) so we asked and they printed us some plastic credit card looking things. Just have to ask is all.
most venues in seattle don't charge the ridiculous fees if you show up in person to box office hours. Also I've bought tickets from this company before and never downloaded the app. They did tell me I had to download the app though, which I ignored. The tickets were emailed to me like immediately.
I've always wanted a browser with more adverts and smart tracking of my web traffic to serve me adverts I'm more likely to click. Please mozilla, send me all your listicles, blog posts full of conjecture, and fake news.
Yes we are also witnessing this 'disruption' but also feel that advertising (especially advertising concepts as opposed to products) is immoral. Also, when looking for a recipe for making orzo from scratch yields even on Duckduckgo the flurry of listicles which make me want to (if the internet was a shed) burn it the fuck down (for being such as shitty shed).
Best I can do is to contribute my ideas and see if they catch on. An ideal world would feed clothe and house the people who give us raw and undigested information, and feed, clothe and jail those individuals who would seek to circumvent the truth for profit. I say again, by simply being born, I believe you deserve to be told the truth.
lol I would talk about what I'm doing but that would be off topic. I invented a basic income system that costs $5.00 per month per human but takes about 30 years to fully implement, manifesting first as both a 0% mortgage / small business loan, then ultimately as a tax-free income redistribution once the y-axis hits the 'point of no return'. It is my platform for an office run in 2020. I'm hoping the humans of my constituency can see the wisdom of a long term plan. The 'don't be a pussy' cajole is usually MY move, jm007.
I posit that this is a byproduct of allowing for-profit journalism. If a journalist is hungry enough and has no integrity, they cease being a journalist and transform into a super saiyajin capitalist pig fucker, or worse, a blogger. I say prevent this by making the news and journalism entirely unprofitable, illegal to profit from, rather a 'sanctioned and free construct' where real journalists may flock to for a meal ticket and a rent check whilst plying their trade. Dear CPFs of the world, stay out of raw information, which I believe is a human right. By simply being born, you deserve to be told the truth.
Sure - and it's a fine response. I couldn't find it, but I was really referencing this NPR (local seattle radio) interview with Nadella (could not find link) where he gave the example of wanting his AI to be able to know for instance the type of bathroom tile a certain customer might shop for at home depot, or when the person's bathroom tile was starting to wear down from use, so that the AI could provide 'helpful' suggestions for what tile to buy and when to buy it. I had to pull over and dry-heave a bit because I couldn't think of a worse use of AI. Honestly at this point, if you're not using your AI for solving faster than light, you're part of the problem. Fiduciary responsibility has no moral or ethical place in the presence of AI. an AI by definition would warp those profiteering ethics into some of its own, with or without things like the "3 laws"... it's just dangerous.
I'm kind of okay with counterfeits as long as it works as advertised, and the originating talent gets a cut (which I know isn't the case). Sincerely put, if you're going to counterfeit, cut the devs a check why don't ya? Slip em a fat nickel every time you get a download please. Devs, please consider open sourcing your game apps after like 5/10 years, or when the hardware they're designed for is no longer physically made or otherwise inaccessible. Games should have a timer to enter public domain. Sharing is caring: https://www.rockpapershotgun.c...
There's a tremendous shortage of doctors, pilots, and in the near future, many more forms of skilled labor. Are the companies of the world betting on AI to save us from this shortage? I would put my money in a training program - because its a win win. Train a bunch of pilots & you have... a bunch of pilots.
Make it attractive and people will sign up in droves. Like growing a fruit tree, you feed and water them, wait a few years, and you're good to go.
and motor fuels (to pay for roads and bridges etc)
Then electric cars, bicycles and pedestrians can stay off the roads that I pay for.
Ah yes, the 'he's got his and i've got mine' argument. Your measly little $0.30 cent tax contribution entitles you and your ilk to completely claim a public thoroughfare. Fuck those environmentalists. Run them the fuck over! It's not like THEY have a big truck.
Or, like Rudy, kill/disappear the bums.

These fucks have polluted our landscapes, our cities, and even our Web experiences. And for what? What do we get in return? Fuckin' nothing.
you said it sister
120 pages of microsoft political contributions..... https://www.campaignmoney.com/... and with a snazzier interface / less data https://www.opensecrets.org/or...
good old bobby tables
or maybe just play with the IIS a little on HP's shitty web server.

Dude, why would anyone READ an ARTICLE? Too many ads anyways, can't tell what's an article and what's not anymore. Just stick to the headlines. lulz

Nobody is forcing them to download anyhting. If you don't want the app then don't pay rip-off fees to go see some talentless shit-heel sing and dance.
It's this kind of shithead mentality that makes me proud to be an american.

subject says it all. Last job didn't like brown people, so we left.

Welcome to the Ministry of Truth, or MiniTruth. How may we be of service?

Microsoft: "feed my AI so I can sell ________ to you, because I want to know you want it before you do."
IT failure yesterday grounded / delayed flights. Are the systems breaking down or are the passwords just not secure enough? .... hmmm .....
short-er timer, if they already have one.

Notepad now reads your notes to feed the microsoft AI ... its hungry ... and serves you relevant ads based on your notes. Now 9000% slower to open.
How about distributing the load? That is the fairest. Iow both sales and income.
how about neither and add a poll tax? Worked for the emperor of the galactic empire.
