only userland knows WHICH data is critical. dude, ALL data is critical.
no, this is a serious implementation stoopidity in ext4, et.al.
blame the victim. eeesh. data rape is still rape.
and saying programs should be calling fsync is absurd. i'm old enough to remember when programmers were admonished to NOT call fsync, or it would "slow down the system."
sync/flushing data already written by userland standard i/o calls should never be a userland responsibility.
depending on his exam and her chest sounds, perhaps the antibiotic prescription was a preventative to avoid her slipping into a pneumonia condition from that flu. the prophylactic use of antibiotics is fairly normal.
last time i tried, my ISP (rogers cable broadband in ontario, canada) refuses to provide "business" service to addresses not located in a area zone by the municipality as "commercial" in some way.
i REALLY wish i could get the business class service:(
however, we do NOT use LED lighting on our snowplows because they are not warm enough! warm incandescents tend to keep the snow melted off over the lamp area, LED lamps just let the snow build up until the lamp is no longer visible.
this would apply to any truck or car too. but plows generally only go out when the weather (and visibility) is the worst.
you'd be surprised how many people collide with snowplows (with ALL their many flashing lights, etc) because they claim to not seem them. (in truth they are just driving too fast.)
my own personal experience indicates perhaps there is too much flashing light activity on a plow. nobody seems to notice turn signals for lane changes. the little flashing turn signal lamp i suspect disappears into all background noise of the many flashing beacons on the equipment.
which "you"? it would require thousands of people hitting the db at the same time. individually no-one would be capable of doing it.
unless you are orchestrating/controlling a Botnet to do a DoS attack....but those who have control over botnets wouldnt be so mean as to direct their efforts at NSI would they?:) after all, they are already considered terrorists and have nothing to gain:)
a plain DoS would cost them money in lost business.
>you rush her into the car, strap on the seatbelt, and start heading towards the hospital. >on the way there, the "check engine" maintenance light comes on
except in this case the "light came on" 3 years ago, this is more than merely finishing the current short trip.
wouldn't surprise me if AECL dragged their feet in doing the upgrade simply to force a political showdown with the safety board.
a disgruntled employee at an isp could very well insert porn/whatever into streams if the insertion process is already actively taking place. can the ISP *prove* an employee did NOT do it? (hey, reverse-onus is popular now days, use it to your advantage, THE MAN will...)

different issue? but exactly the issue INSURANCE cares about. future outcomes and all that.
being fat is highly correlated to future health problems. especially in the diabetes, arthritis and heart disease areas.
in such places i make it a point to absolutely minimize my time therein.
so i get to see my car dash clock real soon anyway.
the time is also printed on the cash receipt.
the beast needs to be "put down"
it is obviously in deep pain
anyone crushing a 1962 ford fairlaine, or 1962 anything, otta
have their nuts crushed.
not like their haven't been illegal aliens in the usa before... :)

i went to a small high school with about 1100 students in a city
area of about 130,000 people.
what are the odds of TWO *unrelated* teachers with the same name? :)
and a name that sounds fake at that
seriously, two Jane Smiths taught at my high school way back when.

yet it makes me laugh.
murder IS funny!

funny, sounds just like a typical mac user to me! :)
heh...
household lamp dimmers do not vary voltage, they use a cheesy triac circuit
to chop the AC current. not much different in concept than PWM for leds.

if enough people are scripting bogus names,
perhaps their database and/or db server will choke.
THAT will cost them money to bring back online.
