if your still stuck visit #linuxhelp on efnet. there are several veteran firewire networkers who swear by it over gigabit ethernet. (which to be any good has to be done with fibre)

so far i must laugh at both posts that follow yours. truly funny. the only thing you will see with stereos is perhaps the face plate might be a molded jobby. most cars DONT need to have the entire dash taken apart to get the radio out. in the old days that seemed the way it was. however changing radios is so common place now that it seems as if car makers have made it quite easy.

take for instance my cirrus lxi, it took me 30 seconds with my drivers liscence to get access to the screws that hold my radio in. no joke. if you own one, the cheap plastic molding around the stereo uses metal clips that can undone easily with a device that has a consistancy of a credit card or drivers liscence.

you can get receivers for cars, however they dont seem common place at all anymore. why? who knows..

if you only have one screw holding your hard drive in then i wouldnt want you tinkering with a car either.

i think if there was an incredibly cheap way to do it people would jump all over it

as a manufacturer i would be very pleased if the first thing the consumer did when their initial (starter or full) cartridge runs out of toner is for them torun out and buy a re-manufactured cartridge and put it in the machine. as this voids the warranty on nearly every brand of printer out there. thus meaning i only need the printer to last past the stores return policy.
