    Doesn't always works that way...
    The secure process is probably more computational intensive than the other one, and thus not really practical for large volumes of data...

    Actually, it seems rather similar to falciform anaemia, (well, in a way, the genetics of the latter seems simpler) in that that a trait useful for the parents (better resistance to paludism in one case, better jobs in the other) can produce diseased children if both parents transmit the "wrong" genes.
    And yet, falciform anaemia is really common in regions where paludism strikes.

    Hmm... Yes, I can see it... An open source virus that you have to compile yourself to make it useable...

    Well, you know, under Linux, (or most Unices, for that matter) Virii tends to do little damage, mostly because it can't spread to files that do not belong to the one running the app...
