I've been bodybuilding for a few years now and in the process, I've read books on nutrition. The key to leading a healthy life is a healthy, balanced diet mixed with regular exercise and sunlight. This means no refined wheat or sugar. No trans fatty acids. I eat lots of lowfat yogurt, lowfat cottage cheese, canned tuna in water, whole wheat bread with almond butter and organic marmalade, whole wheat pasta with organic sauce (With no sugars added!), organic whole wheat shells and cheese, protein drinks with skim milk, salmon and other ocean fish, white chicken and turkey meat, eggs (Including the yolk since I don't have cholesterol problems), bananas, potatos, brown rice, lots of water, herbal teas, an oil supplement with lots of OMEGA-3s, and a good multivitamin. Personally, I have to eat 3,000 calories per day in order to make gains. For those that are trying to lose wait, eat the foods I listed. Don't be afraid to eat healthy fats from organic, natural products. Don't avoid carbs, simply eat complex carbs instead of the refined shit which has been robbed of its nutrients. Eat plenty of vegetables and don't eat too much fruit. Even fruit has sugar, even if it isn't as bad as refined white sugar. COUNT YOUR CALORIES and figure out how many you need to eat on a healthy, balanced diet to maintain weight. Then steadily lower your caloric intake and increase exercise (Weight lifting AND cardio) until you start to lose weight. Sunlight and fresh air is also important. Do your cardio outside in the sun to kill two birds with one stone!

If you want to read a REAL nerds book on nutrition, how about one that explains the molecular structure of different fats and explains everything in technical terms. I didn't know any biology before reading it and I was able to follow along. The book actually teaches you all about fats, carbs, free radicals, anti-oxidants, etc. If you're interested in bodybuilding, this one's a must for most of us.

I'm 6'2". In the last year, I've gone from little muscle at 155 lbs to 10% body fat at 180 lbs. Yeah, a year is a long time, but I've done it in a healthy way which is more permanent and life sustaining. :)

I just went through this. My boss is convinced that there's got to be a 99% effective way to reduce spam without getting more than a few false positives, all for less than a couple hundred dollars. We use Exchange 5.5 and all the features it has, so I can't just stick him on POP3 with SPAM Assassin. Currently we're using SPAMCOP's DNS blacklist which catches about 50% of the spam. The problem is, my boss just has to have his contact information on EVERYTHING, including the registration information for our domain names. That means he get's roughly 50-60 SPAM messages per day which didn't get blocked by SPAMCOP. I tried explaining to him that we either fork over a large yearly fee for brightmail or I can use a product that is very aggressive and spend the time building a whitelist. I went on vacation for a week and nobody was here to maintain the list, so he lost some important messages. They had me walk them through uninstalling it over the phone while I was on vacation. He still thinks there's got to be another solution. Ugh.

I run a Microsoft network. I read all the security bulletins. I read security related news sites to ensure that I don't miss anything important. Hell, I supported NT4 Server networking, domains, and setup for Microsoft for almost two years!

Most exploits for any piece of software are discovered by white hats. *nix, Windows, it doesn't matter. More than 95% of the time, a worm is made by some talentless asshole that doesn't have the skill to find a new exploit. Instead, he relies on spreading his worm through unpatched boxes by standing on the shoulders of white hats. If the asshole had the skills of a true security professional, he would be making decent money in the information security field. I doubt there are many people that wouldn't "sell out" by providing a noble service to the business world.

The fact that you just love to spell Microsoft related names with a bigot twist tells me that you fall under the "I hate Microsoft and therefore will have extremely biased opinions" category of people. Personally, I hate Microsoft's business practices as much as the next guy and I believe that open source is a better way to develop projects, but I don't let that opinion form the basis of ALL my computer related opinions.
