    Everyone makes biased judgements and sometimes abuses happen. If your post is unfairly buried, repost to make yourself heard. Abusive mods eventually run out of points.

    How important is any one post though? In a contentious thread, most sides have plenty of redundant posts. When I get slapped down I usually just shrug and move on. The current mob rule system works well enough. Not perfect, but surprisingly effective.

    Like most Canadians the story concerns me because what does it say about the country?

    It says Canada has an environment that allows world class innovation (rise of RIM), and there is no magic solution for world class corporate hubris (stagnation and marginalization of RIM).

    No doubt. Sometimes the continuous changes seem like a full employment program.

    I don't suggest looking at emissions testing as a formality.

    Sound advice. I've seen and shed plenty of tears after a great functional design gets sent back to meet ever shifting regulatory requirements.

    CE tests are more strict than FCC.

    I thought it had been harmonized so everyone just uses EN55022.

    The field will be measured up to several GHz

    The latest EN55022 2006+A1:2007 version goes to 6GHz. The most problematic ranges I've seen for small devices like this are still in the 30-300MHz range.

    The Republicans claimed to be against a practice hated by citizens, yet failed to explain how the amendment they killed does not protect people and failed to propose and alternative to protect people. Vague handwaving about addressing it in the unspecified future is worthless.

    Correct. Step by step, major ISPs are transforming your internet connection into just another cable TV connection. Expect fees and restrictions to "outside" content to increase in an escalating war of combined telecom/content providers.
