Yup. If I had mod points, they'd be yours. These mergers or consolidations NEVER result in a benefit to the consumer. Never, I've not seen it happen once in the last 40 years. It always means crappier service and higher prices.

That's as accurate description of AT&T as I've ever heard. We refer to them as "an overflowing shit-bucket with a turd for a handle."

We dropped all cable subscriptions and now only use Netflix...and it appears that nothing of value was lost. Honestly, 100 channels of crap we'd never watch and 20 more we might watch once a year (if that). As a result we get a little more time to spend doing stuff we like rather than mindlessly watching the current pop-culture fad. We may not be typical consumers of TV but we can't be the only ones who drop it and realize that we don't miss it a bit.

So this is more bloat in FF isn't it? It doesn't even solve what's a niche problem for those few people who insist on having so many tabs open they cannot read them. If you can't read them, you can't see which one to mute.

I typically have 3 or 4 browsers open with 5 ~ 10 tabs in each one...and being able to tell which tab has overstepped its bounds would be an extremely useful feature for me.

  6. Indeed. Now if we could only get CPU/RAM usage as well!

Yes, yes, YES. Firefox slowly eats/leaks memory until it's using more than 3.5Gb on my machine...and then everything slows down, images don't load, etc etc. Yes, fix the damn memory issue before doing anything else.

  7. Okay, now THIS is a useful feature that almost every user will appreciate.

No one ever said free speech came without consequences. You should be free to say whatever you like, but the consequences may not be to your liking. You can shout "Fire!" in a crowded theater, AND you may face various charges for doing so. But no law prohibits you from doing so.

Similarly, you can stand outside my window and shout atrocities if you like, but you may face penalties for doing so.

ALL speech should be allowed, and all speech should be subject to legal repercussions. But banning some opinion or writing that you personally disagree with is nothing more than old-fashioned censorship.

I sincerely doubt that. I can barely get it to connect to the Nokia site. And from what I can tell, java won't run on this dinosaur. If a hacker manages to crack my phone he deserves an award. Unfortunately all he's likely to get are some blurry pics of my driveway.

No, I can't watch movies on my phone (that's what I have a TV for, hello?) and no I can't find out the temperature on Mars, but guess what? I don't want to.
