    you can open older versions with other programs, but if your spreadsheet has lots of macros, functions or is tied to SQL analysis or reporting services or some other big data server you might have issues if you switch. the basic parts of excel are a commodity. it's the nice features that some people need that are worth paying for like the ability to do data analysis at the desktop instead of asking someone to write a report in cognos or SQL or whatever

    just like the t-mobile $15 a month iphone 6 thing, it's a lease. you have to give the phone back after 20-24 months. and sprint and t-mobile signed ridiculous minimum purchase contracts with apple a few years back. especially sprint. they agreed to purchase millions of iphones and now they need gimmicks to get people to buy phones on their network.

    not really a flagship since it doesn't have the top end CPU/GPU at the time it was released. and you're buying it from some sketchy store, most likely one of those shady NYC electronics stores with only a manufacturer warranty. and even then some manufacturers will play games and deny coverage if it's an import or you bought from some non-authorized dealer

    T-Mobile has the highest frequencies in the USA and the worst building penetration. I have AT&T and Verizon phones and the Verizon phone will work in almost any elevator, unlike my AT&T phone. and I keep reading about T-mobile's spotty coverage around the US. most people are on family plans and in my case of a 6 line plan the T-mobile savings are only like $10 or $20 a month over AT&T. not worth it to risk being stuck in the middle of no where with no cell service to call for help

    where is this mythical cheaper android phone in the USA? there is an ultra cheap Moto phone for $200 and a few others in the $400 but they don't compare to the flagship iphone and apple has cheaper models in the $500 range

    i have a honda CR-V with 4WD. one of the most boring cars there is. sure i can buy an Acura but they are just honda's with different body panels, different engine software and a higher price tag. same with Toyota/Lexus and Nissan/Infinity. or buy a honda civic. my car has a USB port for my phone and none of that new social crap computer in there for checking facebook while driving. don't need it

    yes it does. free public domain cartoons means people get exposed to the character. but you can't make money on those videos because the character isn't trademarked by you. Corp gets more customers via free advertising

    anything i want to remotely consider reading i dump into goodreads and an amazon wishlist. then i import the wishlist to ereaderiq.com and wait for the price drop emails. a few times a month i will sort the list on amazon and either buy something on impulse at any price or buy something on the cheap end. works great with kid's books too. i just bought half a dozen for $1.99 each compared to $5 or more at barnes and noble

    funny you should mention Hitchiker's. i just bought the entire 5 book set from amazon for $3.99. the kindle version. dead tree books are triple that for catalog titles

    i only ask because i still owe $200 on my Note 3 to AT&T for NEXT payments and i'm not feeling the urge to sign up for another two years of $30 monthly payments. I'm thinking of keeping my Note 3 for maybe 5 years and making do with the smaller phone bills. maybe buy an ipad mini for reading and if i want to game with a faster CPU and graphics

    android has "real multitasking" just like the fan boys wanted. i've noticed out of the 3GB RAM on my Note 3 less than 1GB will be free most of the time. almost every app likes to run a process in the background. i keep bluetooth off as well as location settings on power saving mode which is good enough.

    i have a Note 3 that i plan on keeping for close to 5 years. I have an ipad 4 and will buy an ipad air 2 for each kid this year and take the ipad 4 for myself and keep it for a few more years. maybe buy a new ipad next year to splurge. phones and tablets are in their 8th generation now and mature. i find that most of my phone use is texting, reading the news and some gaming. don't need a new phone every two years for that anymore. it's like computers now where you can keep them for years

    it's russian missile parts, can't prove it was a russian missile. the Ukrainian military is almost all former USSR aka Russian equipment. some russian military hardware is actually made in the ukraine and the russian supply planes are breaking down because they can't get anymore parts from the ukraine. look it up, it was on the news a few days ago
