    itunes you can download the show into itunes on a Mac or Windows computer and stream locally via your wifi to an apple TV, watch on the computer, watch offline on iphone or ipad. lots of ways without streaming over the internet and even then WTF are the chances of apple going out of business in the next 30 years with all the money they have? they are going even more into services now than selling devices

    when did japan start to get internet back in the 90's? US was first with consumer internet and that means we will be last with better tech because the carriers have to depreciate all the equipment they originally bought. just like other countries were the first with texting and 3G data, the US was first with a mass LTE deployment

    in baseball good catchers can frame pitches. they bring their glove into the strike zone fast enough to make the umpire think it was a strike. technically it's cheating, but everyone has been doing it for the last 3-5 years.

    and it won't happen because the rent a cars will be too expensive to rent or people won't be able to get one at peak times. if i want to go to the beach i drive. if i take the train from NYC it's $35 per person times 4 people for my wife and kids per day and it's like a 2-3 hour trip one way and i'm stuck on the field with everyone else from the train and bus. zip car is like $150 a day or more. uber and lyft don't go there and will be too much. and zip cars get reserved for popular days like nice summer days to go to the beach

    but how many of those are strong enough to travel light years? i use my smartphone daily but i doubt some alien NSA will be looking at what i'm doing in a few hundred or thousand years. same with TV and radio. FM radio can barely go a hundred miles at the strength most radio stations are transmitting it, how is it going to travel the stars?

    it's more than enough for wikipedia, google docs and access to information as well as a netflix stream. i have family on 5mbps comcast out in the boonies and after the peering deal with netflix it works better than my 50mbps time warner. same with my inlaws on optimum. they are under 10mbps but because netflix has their CDN inside the network it works great. paying $150 for those ridiculous internet speeds is like buying an SUV in the last decade. showing off your dick. netflix and everyone else streams at 5mbps in HD

    to be fair they have the math worked out for dozens of variants of different theories and need the experiments to confirm which one was right. the original estimates for the higgs boson were all over the place and depending on the energy predicted it would have meant a single dimension, multi-dimensions and lots of other possibilities.

    there have been a lot of incidents here where people were crossing on the WALK signal with the light and hot hit by someone making a left turn because they were in too much of a hurry trying to time the turn between waiting for cars and not looking at the crosswallk. i see a lot of people almost hit pedestrians while turning only to gun it for a hundred feet and get to the next red 3 seconds faster

    anyone can interpret the law, it's pretty easy. problem is that the law is vague on purpose and the details are in the case law of prior decisions. and of course everyone takes advantage of the vagueness to try to prove their case

    for one you need an MD to diagnose a bacterial vs viral infection. it's not very hard but you need to be able to tell the difference. and taking your kid to the same doctor, they will read the chart and catch on in case they think it's something more serious.

    keep your phone for years or get something on the level of a phone from 2 years ago and use it for email, texting, etc. get a tablet with at least 96GB of storage and use that for media on the go. or put a sd card into your phone for music. don't rely on the cloud. if you use spotify or something similar the premium accounts let you download music to your phone and play it from there

    i don't know. every time my kid gets sick with something simple it's like $400 - $500 the insurance company pays for two visits. and most doctors i see drive nice cars and live in nice and expensive homes. I know there are expenses but the kid is gets around 15-30 minutes of office time for both visits and it's like $400. and the doctor is usually pretty busy the whole day.
