I am not surprised by how stupid people are on slashdot in thinking that that some turd server has a fuck thing to do with weather at all. Sure, planes and ships need to know what is directly ahead. Actually, when self driving cars become reality, the last thing you will want is to actually own one. The biggest problem I see is in that the cars will be able to be remotely disabled. The privacy and software security implications are ginormous. Deviatons from privacy and the hacking concerns will make all the current hacker's issues look like spilt milk.
This don't fix shit. The fact is most people do not have anything but a cell phone these days. Unless you have subscribed to, and payed up front, a collect call to a cell phone is impossible. In other words, the law stating you are allowed to call someone is never actually honored. Fuck jailers, the phone companies, and the prison (because that is all it is) system to begin with. The moment you step on ANY federal (horseshit) property, you have all rights taken away, including your ability to even make a call. The fact that you are also raped at the phonebooth accurately describes our so called (non)justice system.

Simple. As the word "CNC" means, the entire structure, minus insulation, walls, etc. would be cut so precisely that it would be similar to lego style construction. IE, no waste whatsoever unless by man himself.
Looking at the modern day construction practices where there is tons of waste and in general environmental problems such as; cracks for insect invasion, lack of proper insulation etc., and the heavy dependence on the local municipality for energy, waste removal etc. IMHO, all structures should be computerized and cnc'd. With enough people you could build a very very modern two-story structure in one day with hardly any waste whatsoever. It is quite the future and I like it.
