I'm still waiting for two features they never brought over from VHS:... 2. A format that will withstand the destructive force of a toddler. (Though I do applaud the DVD's resistance to heat from a car.)
Excuse me sir, but how long do you plan on keeping this toddler?
One of the guys at work has a fairly high-strung wife.
She was having trouble with Windows on her nearly-new laptop, so instead of asking me to fix it, she HEAVED IT at the floor, breaking it.
Then she went out and bought a new laptop.
Her old laptop still functioned after the ordeal (the screen hinges were snapped, and there were massive scars on the shell), so she gave it to her husband... for his birthday.
I loved my MiniDisc Player/Recorder. The MZ-R700. It was tiny, extremely simple to use, had a pleasant design, and the discs were rugged as hell. (I carried about 10 of them around with me.)
I stopped using it when I got an iPod... and made the mistake of loaning it to my brother.
Now it's a malfunctioning objet d'art collecting dust on my bookshelf...

OMG... when did UK Resistance come back? I thought they'd died LONG AGO.

Canadian here. I only ever have to call the US, really.
For that, I just use my cellphone. I get 10/min (8.5 US) Canada/US long distance on it, so I just use it because it's convenient.
I have some family in Holland, and I'd likely just use my cellphone to call them too. (Right now I live at home, and they call here a lot.)
I would've thought geeks would be more intelligent about these things.
You must be new here.
Well, he coulda spelled it "dijk", but few people would understand it.
I think some dutch expression would be more appropriate, but unfortunately my knowledge of the language doesn't span that much... :P
Is it really necessary to write "Cu" instead of "copper", or do you just think it makes you look smart?
What the hell good will picking up some welshman do?
Aquavit?
Oh my GOD, don't remind me of that horrbile stuff...

What a piece of work, eh?
Apple G5, as in an actual PowerMac G5 machine.
Idiot.
What happens when Stallman gets hit by a bus?
I'd be more worried about the bus...
I was playing around with this, and wondered what the hell you guys were talking about.
The fat brush worked just fine for me.
Then I turned off the "translucent windows" option... and the program slowed right the hell down.
So, it's one of those odd programs that runs FASTER with the effects TURNED-ON.
Half the people in my class still thing /usr is short for 'user' and not 'unix system resources'
Wow. You learn something every day. (Really, I just did.)
Or they could be bringing the iPod's image to the phone world.
Sure, everyone's used a cellphone already... but we haven't see what Apple can pull out of their hat for the phone world yet.
Or, alternately:
"It's not the internet... it's AOL!"
Standard approved! Launch all ZigBee!
Answers to the following questions...
"CircuitCrappy" sounds to awkward.
May I suggest "CircuitSucky" or "SuckitCity"?
I am getting SO sick of that word. It's like the only word people can use to describe things with these days.
Here's a suggestion:

Absolutely. OO.o desperately NEEDS to find some proper interface designers.
The problem with programmers designing interfaces is that they design them with themselves in mind.
If features the iPod is the wrong choice!
How about unparalleled ease of use?
Seamless integration with iTunes?
Ohh... you're still bitter there's no iTunes for Linux or worthless Ogg support.
Wasn't something like this in that mediocre Robin Williams movie, Toys?
Where the evil general takes over the toy company, and wants to turn kids into killing machines that remotely control weaponry?
Does this only apply to the usual TLDs, or country codes too?
(Didn't RTFA)
