>When Sonny Bono died, musicians lost a friend in Congress.
Yeah but he caused more trouble than he was worth, and now that he is dead all the slashdot users can't have a chance to call him up and tell him what a bonehead he is for pushing the copyright extension.
I hope his relatives enjoy that large Disney payoff he got.
Take the average amount spent on offline music last year, divide it by the actual number of people who bought music...Charge that for a subscription cost to a my.mp3.com-type repository.
This way, the damn RIAA/Publishers will still get the *same* amount of money the recieve this year and not have to sell a damn thing.
It cost our company an entire one half workday (105 employees). Since we can no longer send or receive emails, we can only communicate via telephone, and with only 3 lines...well, you get the picture!
Does it really matter where you go? Don't forget that the MPAA was able to influence a foreign government to go arrest someone for a crime that really wasn't.

At where I used to work, we had around 80 OEM licenses and 3 retail copies...So everytime I submitted a free web-incident (which seems to work better that telephone), I just used the key for the retail version. Worked like a charm, even with office 97...

That would fall under the "business downtime". If you external network is down (depending on what you do), it can cost you lost $$$. $18,000/day is not too unreasonable...

I Squash dat bug!

34.99 or 24.99 after rebate for a 100 pack of verbatium 80 Min CDRs...They've been running the same special once every two months.
Good stuff too, i've got some verbatiums 5+ years old that are still holding up.
Yeah, and ultramode does absolutely not shit!
Now, if just someone would come up with a good interface for those of use who are still stuck with regular palms/visors.
Avantgo gets the job done, but frequently leaves stories hanging...and you can hardly ever access the comment sections.
Any ideas?
Well hey, if they can use legislation to get what they want...why the hell can't we?

Damn shame though that the strong backlash (biotech corn anyone?) against GM food will prevent the rice from *ever* being used in wide production.
