It is never about the AI, but the bias programmed/learned by the AI. Guess what, in today's "non-AI" world the same thing happens, bunch of rich people (some of whom works in the government) decides who gets the most $ (newsflash: themselves). The Treasury create a whole bunch of $ and pass along to the banks and the bankers get a huge cut, that's why bankers are always rich. The more corrupt a country, the richer the bankers.
Kurzweil will die and never get the immortality dream that he is after. I actually think (if) he believe all this stuffs, it is because the man is terrified of death.
By that same logic they should remove all handicap spot and facility, why should handicapped people get special treatment? Actually I do support giving some help to the handicap but it has gone to absurd level when laws like this are passed where it's either all or nothing.
Typing this on a system76 Oryx Pro (work asked me to choose between Mac or Linux).
Their Lemur lineup wasn't out yet at the time but it'd be the one I'd get today with 14' + 32G RAM
Doesn't mean we don't need to do something about reversing the destruction of the environment. Arguing whether climate change is almost a moot point from that perspective (although definitely not so for the coastal/island countries). I guess the general human as a species are too selfish and stupid to do anything until there is catastrophic failure all over the globe.
Actually the website is apparently ran by a company called datarocket, which has an amazing website designed from the early 90s. (https://whois.icann.org/en/lookup?name=giulianisecurity.com & datarocket.com). I doubt Rudy even know what a webserver really is, let alone how to configure it.
So he will be a great fit as a Cyber Security Advisor./s
I run Ubuntu LTS 16.04 (and briefly 14.04) version; wireless & video are both quite stable. System76 actually recommend to install their own driver so maybe that helps. I haven't had any driver break during upgrade but I did mange to break lightdm with a manual kernel upgrade but I think that was more of a kernel or lightdm bug. Ubuntu also has a stupid wireless resume from suspend bug that requires me to hack a script to fix.
Got a System76 Oryx Pro for work; it is a beast of a laptop/server/w i7, SSD and it can go up to 64G of RAM. Will never buy another non-linux laptop again for myself.
Most lawyers are pretty douchy in my experiences so can't say I am surprised, but this guy does now get some nice karma via Streisand Effect, even got a site dedicated to his name:

"What some may consider more unsurprising is that more than 25 percent of the world's severely obese men and almost 20 percent of the world's severely obese women are American."
You can running windows; you are not safe.

You do realize that blockchain transaction is on the public ledger that can be checked in near real-time?

So let's continue to destroy the environment!
For that price I expected 32G RAM and 1T SSD (which aren't even available options!).

Just travel to any downtown at any major cities in US. And I have been to Finland (Helsinki) and I saw maybe one homeless person.
Objectively, no religion is real. Unfortunately most people are not objectively rational. Reality is real, make belief is not.
