For me it's coffee, half caf. I toned down the caffiene intake a while back, it was getting tough on the end users. I'm not ready for anything solid until an hour or two after getting up. Speaking of gettin gup, what is it about the morning that makes my girlfriend want sausage for breakfast? It's the one time that I've got strictly maintenance plans for that part of my anatomy and she wants to take it for a few laps around the track.
is a game I've repeatedly gone back to since 1996. Originally it was made by VIE in an attempt to make money charging players for gametime online. Since they dropped the project it has been adopted by numerous techs and suported fairly well. Still a lot of fun. Get it at http://beginners.subspace.net/
a PVR with enough storage space for all my favorite shows and movies, plus an alternative heat source! It'll add the realism of being able to actually cook marshmallows in front of that recorded fireplace video!
True, it's no big whoop that Google said no to Bell South. But what if they had not? Google has my respect for reasons beyond this one issue. I recall the days when one could go to Yahoo or Altavista to search and not have to see a vast plethora of links and such. I credit Google for keeping it simple yet providing other features without a trashy AOLish site.
IMHO this could have good purposes, and here is why I say that. I host a blog for my ex-brother in-law (brother of ex-wife). It's just a basic blog he uses to post pictures of fish he's caught. A week before Christmas he sent a greeting card to his son, whom his ex has not permitted him access to in over two (2) years, not even a phone call gets through. Just a day before Christmas he begins getting harrassing comments posted on his site. Not just one or two, like around 250, one after the other, mostly defametory in nature. He calls me for help and I spend some time looking up IPs and gathering ammo for him to take to a lawyer. This bill could actually help him present a valid case.
businesses to monitor phone calls that are business related when the monitoring is part or the ordinary course of business. When the content of the telephone conversation is of a personal nature, the monitoring must stop.
So, when the recording stops just say "Did you know I have three testicles?". Then they HAVE to stop recording it.
So they want to "secretly investigate" spammers? Hmmm... seems to me that with "just cause" any police agency can do that now. I would think that if SPAM is illegal, they would need only "x" number of SPAM email from the same source to justify a warrant etc. Sounds like we're looking for an excuse to get on our soapbox and rant about our rights.
I agree wholheartedly. Until recently, I only ran Linux as a hobby, on a dual boot system. After running RTCW on Linux and seeing a VAST improvement in FPS, I now rarely ever boot into Windows.
I can imagine if this post was displayed with "Smart Tags". You could be sure all the links would point to MS pages. However, what if MS was required to have the Authors insert a meta tag to ENABLE them, as well as the user having to ENABLE them? Also, what if the user had the option of selecting which search engine was utilized to find links to be displayed as "Smart Tags"? Then it might look more realistic and actually be beneficial.

Yagu said "So, Google takes the "do no evil" a step further and calls evil out."
Hmmm... Just wondering, when Gates came out, was he wearing his mithral shirt with the +50 anti-malware spell?
once major medical corporations get involved and find a way to inflict pop-up ads and maybe a crawl on the screen.

I commend Google for standing up to the Dark Lord for us.

I actually saw a warning for a General Electric clothes iron that warned "Remove Clothes Before Ironing"
So much for that freshly cooked meat scent I love.

It seems like it is time us /.ers gave
Mr. Mark E. Felstein a taste of SPAM by sending a "presonal" email to him /. style.
I would let a rabid weasel gnaw off my testicles to hear something like that from B.G.
FIRST POST
Sorry everyone, I just had to say it.
I agree wholheartedly.

Sounds awesome! Imagine... Bausch & Lomb routers with Rayban packet filtering!
