Yes, cease and desist is completly ok and something the developer of Killustrator should have expected. But the other stuff...

The lawyers required that the University sign the cease and desist letter, destroy the kIllustrator-package, name every KIllustrator user, and disclose the profit they made from it.

Destroy the package??? Maybe rename it... But hopefully that is what they meant. If not, it smells like mega-lo-mania.

Name every Killustrator user??? Either they are totally, utterly stupid, or very uninformed. This is so ridiculous.

This guy Kai-Uwe Sattler should sue them for harassment or something. Hopefully a German court would see how stupid Adobe's lawyers demands are and tell them to piss off.

Although I have never been (severly) bullied, I can very well relate to your feelings. The only thing you need is a little thing called "empathy".

Reading some of the posts here, I'd say the authors could use some of that little thing. Think for yourselves: "How would I feel if I were treated that way?". Still no reaction?

Thankfully, I am pretty big and muscular, so most ppl won't harass me, even though my interrests are a bit on the "nerd" side.
