From what I remember on my previous research into this was that the Express-Vu up in Canada, which is a version of the dish network, uses DVB coupled with Nagravision - the protection mechanism.
There are so many no name parties. The green party has never won a seat that I am aware of.
The most successful individual at least was some guy named 'zzNone of the above', who was on the ballot the last election (or prior) somewhere in alberta. It was a protest.
You obviously do not use an iBook. I am using a May2002 iBook with 16mb vram/radeon.
Jaguar is like a dog in comparison. But for the most part it is bearable. Windows is faster on my 600mhz duron. Next OSX should hopefully leverage more speed.
that Microsoft doesn't have them bought. The wheels of justice are too slow and corrupt. I have heard (no proof, just rumour - you guys might know where this was) that GWB specifically ordered the Justice Dept to not seek splitting the company up. If this is true it shows that GWB was bought (he is bad anyways) and that he has far too much power. A president should have nothing to do with the wheels of justice.
Justice should also be a lot swifter than this. That Microsoft case should have been over in at least 6 months.
No I do not have a POS system, I do know what I am doing with hardware. Yes it may have been exaggerating a little bit but at that times that is what had to be done.
I should however note that I did build my last 2 computer myself using parts (mostly new or recycled from last computer). I found systems like that are hard to get to sleep for example (my last 2 always froze or just didn't).
I completely agree with you. I come from a PC background, used to 'hate' macs. MacOS X changed that. Whenever there was a problem with my PC I would open up the case, blah, blah, blah. With the mac, there hasn't been a single hardware problem except for a battery issue (but that could happen anywhere and not hardware specific). I still have my PC for the occasional Quake 3 but almost exclusively use my iBook now. I don't want to have to deal with the hardware issues all the time.
How about Pear Communications?

For some reason I have always found humour in a company that competes with apple named pear. Probably because of their fruitness. This isn't exactly related I guess but imagine a computer maker named:
Pear
They just released the Pear Barlett pBook. It runs Anjou OS X. It is fast and sexy.
... not because of itself, I don't actually use it. Its that they now can release less than 1 kernel every few months.
When I used Linux for about a month a while back I remember when they would release a kernel and by the time it was compiled and installed, the next one was out.
"They'll spend the same time and money promoting Spirited Away for Academy Awards"
Lets see, would this be called the Old Boys' club? Take only notice of movies developed (or promoted) by members of the Old Boys' club. Throw maybe one or two other movies in just for show. Congradulate the rest of the Old Boys for their work well done, hope to see you after another glorius profit making year.
Civil disobedience also means that you are willing to accept the consequences of your illegal or potentially illegal activities. Would I be willing to get a fine or go to the bad place for playing a DVD on Linux - hell no. Not that I would get caught anyways.
I buy a domain name and provide myself with as many email addresses as I want. It might cost per month what you are paying for a year, but I also get webspace with a load of extra features.
It won't cost you anything not to switch now, but at upgrade time it will be re-evaluated much higher than $0. It might even be cheaper if you need to upgrade your entire computer. God created the apple not to touch, the Devil tempted you - nobody likes somebody that always plays by the rulez.
The P.Eng has one thing right - we need 'software engineers' or 'computer engineers' that are liable for their work (and the company that uses them are liable for too).
If Microsoft's products are so good, why do they disclaim liability on it?
Of course it isn't just microsoft doing this either. The whole licensing thing. If a 'license' is supposted to give you the privledge to do or use something, then in most things you are completely liable for your actions. For example, I have a drivers license, I kill somebody it is my fault. If Acme's Nuclear Control Software 2002 goes faulty and blows up part of the states - they would probably claim no fault (bad example I know - special case currently probably).
I also predicted that Microsoft would name a version of windows after the Millennium (at the time everything and their dog was the millennium something) and guess what they did... rebranded Windows 98 as Windows Me[llennium]. Of course its easy to say that after the fact, but you don't have to trust me until you have installed Palladium (it will be a cold day in hell...)

GNU/linux is not Linux.
Linux is a kernel.
GNU/Linux is a kernel with user space tools (almost a complete operating system, depending on your needs).

How about a Beowulf Cluster of these!!!

and I doubt that money would exist for Palladium

How can they violate a draconian yankee law in Russia?
Yes he visited the states, but he did not break the law (do the act) while in the states. He does not sell the software his employer does.

Amiga and Apple are both in business.

Can't agree with you more!
Boring is it.
I like other series like Andromeda mind you, they have some plot I like to it. Dare I say Babylon 5 (best one of all!)

I have heard lots and lots of this stuff for the US but what about Canada?
Can I play DVDs under Linux in Canada with LiViD legally?
On another topic that other law that was mentioned here last week I think it was, would help the use of the program in the US i think
"Close your browser window, uninstall your pop up blocker and come back here to visit us."
How about I go to another site and forget about yours.
Rich Tapestry? Did I miss that one in some episode?
The last series that I ever saw that had that would be Babylon 5. Jeremiah seems to be turning out to be that too.

You can get many of my favorites under only MacOS(X):
Cromag Rally
EV Nova (its coming to windows soon...)

Stupid laws - you try and do it, you WILL be charged with murder. Then those laws will be brought out in the open (and assumingly repealed)
