Hmmm, what OS did you copy the CD under? In the link they mention that "Copy Protection" doesn't affect Macs and Linux.

How did you pull that off? A huge problem with a Mac/Linux office is that there seems to be no Mac/Linux word processor. MS Word works on Windows and Mac. StarOffice works on Windows, Linux and Solaris. But there seems to be nothing that works on Linux and Mac.

One thingmany of you might want to look at is The Settlers Series. It is a RTS game. One really interesting thing about those games is that it is impossible to control individual units. If you want a building you say build it here. Then you watch as your guys take all the supplies needed to build to the site and then build it. This is automatic. But were you position buildings and how you lay out roads can have a huge impact on how well Your resources are managed.

I was looking at the what still needs to be done page for Mac OS X One thing it talked about was getting the setup program to work. I have a simple solution for that, don't have the setup program on the Mac.

Mac users HATE installers, so what do you do instead? Well I download the file unstuff it. What is unstuffed is an OpenOffice folder with all the OpenOffice programs in it ready to go. It is in effect installed I can move that folder anywhere I want. Uninstalling? I just grab that folder and throw it in the trash can and empty trash. There it is uninstalled. I can do this with the Mac version of MS Office.

I am not a programmer but one thing I could do is create the OpenOffice interface on Mac OS X using the Apple's Interface Builder would this help the porting effort at all?
