So, what the numbers are saying is that if the senate where 100% Republican, this bill would have passed with a veto-proof majority. And if the senate where 100% Democrat, this bill would have passed with a veto-proof majority.
Some difference;)
It seems to me voting for these same Democrats is just telling them it's okay to vote Yes for bills like this.
Perhaps you haven't been paying much attention to the primary races, and I certainly can't blame you for that. I seldom have until this year. But when it comes to money, Bernie is doing just fine thanks to large numbers of small donations. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics...
As for being able to win in the general election, hypothetical polls show that Bernie does just as well as Hillary in match-ups against likely republican candidates. http://www.nbcnews.com/meet-th...
For once we have a chance to vote for something other than one of two lizards, and there is a real chance he can win. Lets not let that chance go to waste;)
There is already a MMORPG just like that. Puzzle Pirates has been around for years now. The performance of your character is directly based on the players own skill at the various in-game puzzles. Of course, the more you play the puzzles, the better you get.
While it doesn't have the popularity of WoW or the other big name MMORPG's, it has been doing well for itself. Come take a look sometime.
Have you tried looking into http://www.puzzlepirates.com/? Of all the mmorpgs i've played so far, it has been the only one lacking that deadly boring grind. There are no levels and so no artifical level barriers; new players can party with old players without problems.
Although it is not a space setting, the game also features a trade-driven, player-run economy.
It doesn't cost anything to give it a spin, the client is a free download and there is a free trial account. Even better, it runs natively on linux and mac, as well as windows. If you do drop by the Midnight Ocean, feel free to give me a shout.
So, why should we be concerned about whether Slim Jim out in streets of urban New York City has broadband, when he'd only use it to check the location of the nearest Starbucks anyway?

Does the page have any relationship
to the hitchhikers guide?
If i remember right, in the manual
for the "Hitchhikers Guide to the
Galaxy" Infocom game, Megadodo is
the company that manufactures the guides.
