It is Not the Cable Companies. It's not the cable companies inflating internet only prices to offset the spraying arterial blood loss of cable cutting revenue ? Yeah, no. The Content providers demand they take packages or they can't get the few channels they actually want.

Netflix is doing a fantastic job and I STILL pay 7.99 a month. When you don't have sharp eyesight, you can drop the video streaming quality and not really give a crap about it. Or pay 2 bucks more and get it - but ten bucks a month for a la carte and no commercials?
I build a beast every 7 years or so. The one I'm using to post is only 6 months old and my first venture into liquid cooling.
But the previous posters sorta made that clear, if you aren't gaming or actually stressing the system - then a ten year old laptop is all you really need for email and reading web pages. I just wish they knew if they went into task scheduler, and stopped all the craptastic stuff M$ was doing on their system that their PC or laptop is actually a lot faster than it seems.
I make some good side cash just getting rid of the tasks and "fixing" peoples older pcs.
My gas powered vehicle that I purchased new, and invested in to keep running for the past ten years has cost me around 27000 dollars.
So if I can't drive that anymore, then a 27,000 version of an electric vehicle should show up on my door step and we exchange keys. If the vehicle isn't as well built or purpose suited then additional money should be paid to me for the loss of use (jeep wrangler - handles fantastically in the snow). If the vehicle doesn't perform exactly to my former vehicle expectations (like fueling time) I should be recompensed at my job rate for the extra time it takes to fuel up.

I think the last movie I went to go see was a few years before that wen a group of young females would jump out of their seats, theatrically start screaming and spinning when anything remotely different was going on in the Halloween Michael Myers movie.
the nato they mentioned are fighting tooth and nail to keep up an antiquated system. And they will be as soundly spanked as the music industry ha been.
Sorry, I enjoy my big screen, inexpensive popcorn, and a beer while watching my movies - I ave 7.1 dolby and as an added bonus, I can pause the movie when I need to use the gents.
So if Netflix needs some help dismantling "nato" , I hope they start a kickstarter so I can help fund it.

The only RSS feed left is the bbc.
