Nah. To change nitinol into a shape you have to heat it under a flame, not under cold water. After it's tempered essentially you bend it into an shape and put it in hot water, then it goes back to it's original shape. I just used the stuff about 3 weeks ago in a chem lab.
Now that they are more "durable" they may last as long as other hard drives on the market. I have had a lot of Maxtor drives crap out on me and so have friends of mine.
This exact same thing happened to me about a month and a half ago. I wanted to get a domain that expired. I was watching it very closly, because i knew that it was going to expire in a few days. Anyway, once it did expire, I requested NSI for the domain and they said that they wait about 3 weeks before they send the person a message. After that they shut down the webpage to get the person's attention. Anyway, I waited over a month and I still couldn't get it and the guy finally re-registered...Now I have to wait another year for his domain.
Well, Sony really didn't have any experience in the console market and look at how much PSX kicked Sega's and Nintendo's ass, both of whom are experoenced makers. And besides, MS make a specilized version of Windows CE for the Dreamcast.

I'd even say in the hundred trillions or hundred quadrilion years.

Makes you wonder what you are paying for.
I agree with you 100%. I hate it when people still don't use the proper "there", "their", and "they're".
I agree with you Wonko. On a slightly different note, did you try to make your site look almost exactly like /. ?
I agree. People think nothing of buying a gallon of Coke, which would cost about 3 bucks a gallon.
Dude...the guy never re registered. It's not like the check got lost in the mail dolt. What do you think this whole article was about?
