No, it's not legit. There wouldn't be any attacks if he'd just provide simple proof. Liars do this frequently - instead of proving themselves trustworthy, they whine at you for not trusting them without proof. Instead of having empathy for the victims they are hurting, they tell everybody that they are hurt for not being given baseless trust.
Basically he said that because we didn't trust him, he is too hurt and emotional to do what Charlie Lee (creator of Litecoin) did the other day. He can't do that and needs a therapist, or a good chocolate bar, or something.
In other words, he was lying all along. It started when a lot of people were over the top mad about Slashdot was being handled. I'm hoping that things are better here under new ownership, but I'm also hoping SN continues to flourish - it's been a great discussion site.

Hell, yes, it is obvious that most religions function simply as tools for man to exercise power over man. Which makes it striking that my religion orders me not to interfere in other people's affairs, and heartbreaking that most followers of my religion ignore that part.
I'm not sure if you are Mormon or Protestant, but either way I presume you hold the Bible sacred. My Bible says in I Peter 4:15-16 not to be a busybody or meddler in other people's decisions. It's sort of a well known passage because it's one of only three places that the Bible uses the word "Christian," but somehow I think a lot of people have missed what it says not to do.
Being extremely religious, I take the Bible and this passage extremely seriously. I suggest you do start doing so as well. You're making things difficult for the rest of us.
I'm only talking about duplicating bits. If you are having a problem with people erasing bits from your devices or storage I would suggest you employ better security.
Actually it's not like that at all. If somebody starts selling the same bits I am selling, I still have those bits. I just can't earn as much for them due to competition. Even the courts acknowledge that "theft" is not the right term for what is happening here.

The URLs you posted are not syntactically correct. They are missing an ampersand. Slashdot never has URLs that look like that.
If you want everyone to believe there was a comment deleted, you might want to assume more of the burden of proof.
