  1. Re: Sour Grapes on Car Dealers Complain To DMV About Tesla's Website · · Score: 1

I just bought a volt, the listed price was full msrp. The site may state an after rebate price, but I've not seen it listed as the price in the configuration tool.

Guys, as bad as this seems, I give credit to Philips. When I received the recall notice, I was pissed. I assumed that I would just have to live with not using the Ambilight feature, as there was no way I was going to take the TV down (it would take 3 people) and bring it in to a repair center. When I called and they told me they would send somone out to fix it, they made me whole in my book.

They could have taken the bring it in and fix it approach, they didn't, this is going to cost them quite a bit of money.

Any chance of getting goatse up there? Think about the public service that would be, hundreds of thousands of people sobering up instantly. Of course, it will also point out which of your friends are truly grotesque as they are the only ones smiling while everyone else is gagging.

So since retail stores have security and cameras and systems to detect you leaving with merchandise you haven't paid for, thus, treating you like a criminal, you should go ahead and steal. Boy that is wonderful logic. I guess you should blow up an airplane, because, after all the security checkpoint is treating you like to criminal.

Stop trying to justify yourself after the fact. We all do what we can to protect what is ours, even if it's ineffectual. Do you lock your car? Do you lock your doors at night? Do you password protect your computer? Do you think any of these is 100% safe? You're just trying to discourage the casual thief from grabbing something from your car, or your home. A determined thief will deal with your alarm system, in reality it's just a deterrent. It's the same for the publisher; they just want to reduce theft as much as possible.

Go spend your own fucking money developing a game, and then go ahead and release a game with no protection because you don't want to treat people like criminals. Guess what? Most people will take advantage of everything they can every way they can. If they didn't scramble cable, most people would steal it. When was the last time you saw anyone uphold the honor system?

Tivo does this all the time. I'm on my third TiVo and I've stopped rating things (I even stopped the auto single thumb up rating for programs you record). On my second Tivo, somehow the system decided I liked Westerns, now mind you, I had never recorded or even watched one on Tivo.

All of a sudden every single thing the Tivo recorded was a western, and all from the Western channel. It didn't matter that every single one it recorded I rated three thumbs down. I got so frustrated I finally had to remove the entire channel (no real loss).

Tivo gets tunnel vision all the time, I had all cartoon, all comedy specials, and all westerns.

First, my point wasn't that they were a joke. Just that they were a joke compared to SBC. I believe there is a slight difference. Ask anybody who has spent any length of time in the OC facilities how many times they had service outages for one reason or another.

Second, they may have had a lot of big customers, but a very tough time making money, so bad in fact they had to file for bankruptcy. Until Cable & Wireless bought them they were making a lot of deals to lure in big customers in which they made no money. The company I was with a few years ago had a 12-cage configuration that we never paid a single dollar for.

I have nothing against Exodus, other that the stupid configuration. In the OC facility you must wait in line for a guard to sign out a key to you, where you have to scream at them because the bullet resistant glass makes it almost impossible for them to hear you, and they want to use the intercom, because they say its to loud. Then you have to go through the retarded portals that are broken nearly continuously. A good 25% of time you get the wrong key and have access to someone else's cage. If you unfortunate enough to have to go their in the middle of the night, you may have to deal with the idiot guards who are asleep, on in several cases over the last few months nowhere to be found for 15 to 20 minute intervals. (Kind of chaotic when your site is down)

At SBC, biometrics are used from the door to the cage, the end. On a good day I can get from my car to my cage in less than 45 seconds, with most of the time being spent waiting for one of the pairs of doors to close.

Finally, I hate Exodus because they raised the price of sodas to $0.65 from $0.25. SBC is still $0.25.
