    cooler download manager? firebird had a good download manager, if lacking a few options.

    firefox's is just annoying, for one it's an ugly copycat of microsoft UI, and the way it's set it's non intuitive.

    give me back my download manager damnit!

    sure cannibalism and necrophilia are things i don't particularly find attractive. but let them start by outlawing that, then another little thing, and another, and another... that's how you lose all your privacy and freedoms

    thats why you use debian (or an apt enable fedora)

    apt-get update && apt-get upgrade

    press enter a few times, and you're patched. don't even need to reboot

    compare that to window. where you have to go on windows update, check which updates you want (hey watch out for those mutually exclusive thingies!),download, install, reboot and do it again a few times for the ones that couldnt be installed at the same time.

    i know it crashes more often than not for me, and after a bit i have to restart it because it gets so slow it's unuseable

    that particular sentence is particularly annoying. if you go to china, YOU learn chinese or hire a translator. otherwise you don't go to china.

    if she want to use a computer, she will have to learn how to deal with them. i work for an isp, when i receive a virus infected email, i cut off their internet access plain and simple. they can call back to have it reactivated after they get someone competent to disinfect it.

    based on my (admittedly) very limited knowledge of geology, i think the type of erosion give some pretty good clues on that subject. IIRC wind and water erode the rocks differently.... but then i could be completly wrong too, it's been an age and a half
