***** START RANT ***** I sent letters to my representatives over a month ago. Two never replied, and one of my senators replied with a canned response stating that she is a supported of PIPA and that despite my concerns, she knows what's best for me and the economy, even if that involves compromising the infrastructure of the Internet, negatively impacting security, and infringing on the rights of United States citizens. So, to paraphrase, we need a lobby with lots of money, or we can go p*ss up a rope. ***** END RANT *****
Thank you! I thought I was the only one! When I first saw the preview, I immediately thought of "Omega Man." However, not may other people know of this movie, or admit to have seen it.
Actually, according to the MLA, which sets the standard for English usage in writing, the plural of a letter is formed with an apostrophe. For example, you would say that "The string 'aa' contains two a's." The use here is obvious: "a's" is readable, but "as" would make no sense. People (myself included) extend this to abbreviations in (I believe) proper MLA style. However, I too hate it when people use the apostrophe incorrectly, especially with "its/it's." I say that PLC's is correct in this case. If it's that important, I can look it up later (no MLA book at work) and let you know what they have to say.
Actually, GNU contradicts itself. Their mascot is a gnu (http://www.dictionary.com/search?q=gnu) which is pronounced like "noo" or "nyoo." If they are goung to use the mascot, why do they insist on an improper pronunciation?

You are correct, a mushroom cloud is simply a large demonstration of convection. It can happen with an atomic or a conventional detonation...
Whoops! That's "HAVING seen it..."

Your math is backwards. 1 inch = 2.54 cm. Therefore, 3.8 cm is approximately 1.5 inches (3.8 cm / 2.54 cm/inch = 1.5 inches)
Check this out from Old-computers.com: VCS-2600 Bike. It is obvious that this is not a new idea at all...
Or even "PLC\{2,\}" for all of you grep-savvy folks out there! BTW, I love the .sig, eclectus!

Indeed! That could be confusing. Wee should also outlaw the use of all homonyms four the sake of hour sanity! (Use of homonyms intentional.)
Well there goes my workday. Out with the work and in with the Monty Python references! *GRIN*
