I have that problem with my research but solved it using several machines (about 20) in parallel to compute the fitness function. As hardware gets cheaper and cheaper such a solutions is getting more and more feasible.

He sounds like a very nice person. Dr. Corkin is with the Dept. of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at MIT.
And that's why the editorial complains about the lack of respect to the game industry in general.
Without a more established award, it will take longer for mainstream acceptance of them (it will happen sooner or later, anyway).
If you let it roam around earth a little bit, it will get most likely stolen ;-)
