Actually, he didn't. If you counted all the legitimate votes in FL, Gore would have won.
Only if you go by the standards used by [democraticunderground | moveon | $OTHERLEFTWINGKOOKSITE] for what constitutes a "legitimate" vote. Going by the laws in effect as of 7 Nov 00, you are incorrect. (That's not just an assertion I pulled out of my six, either...the press confirmed it. If it makes you feel any better to keep whining about something everybody else has long since gotten over, though, at least try directing it to/dev/null.)
Now, am I going to take a leftover $20 and go buy a cd so I can sit at home and listen to it, or am I going to use it to do something more social, like going out with friends?
Social? Friends? Have you forgotten where you're posting?
Every one of us should send them 10 e-mails each, preferably more, and we have lots of users.. MUHAHAHAHA
I was thinking a better approach would be to slip their email addresses into comments on a webpage. With the way my websites are set up, a change to one file would get the list sent out with each page on that site...it'd be trivial to include a block like this:
<!-- Spambots, chew on this:
foo@bar.com
joe@spammer.com ...
-->
Addresses in mailto links are obfuscated so that the spambots won't get them...these, of course, would be left alone.
Now...does anyone have the list of spammers extracted from this site? I found real names in an archive linked through the Wired article, but no email addresses.:-|
The history of development of reusable launch vehicles (RLVs) is littered with carcasses like some foreboding desert trail. In the last two decades we have seen NASP, Delta Clitter, X-33, X-34, VentureStar, Roton, and others come and go
I never go to the video store anymore. No need. In addition to a few PPV movies that I rent, I record a bunch of stuff off of Showtime, and a bunch of stuff just off of TBS, TNT, and other non-premium movie channels.
I don't, either...but the stuff that comes through the cable is almost always pan-and-scan. My TiVo is fairly good at finding older stuff that's not on DVD...but if it's available on DVD, I'll add it to the Netflix queue.
OTOH, there is a newer trend towards micro-brewing here; an individual is allowed up to 200 gallons per year for personal use without papers under Federal law.
You're confusing microbrewing and homebrewing. You can brew up to 100 gallons per year per adult in your household as a homebrewer. You can't sell homebrew, though, unless you want BATFE to pull a Waco on you. Brewpubs and microbreweries will do far more than 200 gallons (that's only 6 2/3 bbl.) just for one batch...the average homebrewer, by comparison, only does 5 gallons (1/6 bbl.) at a time.
Also, exported Heineken is SHIT compared to normal Heineken which we got here in Europe.
It wouldn't be like that if they'd put it in brown bottles. When you have pallets of beer in green bottles sitting on a dock, they're going to turn skunky as a result of a reaction between sunlight (any ultraviolet radiation, really) and hop compounds.
I haven't bought a pilsner or other light lager in some time...have brewed some myself, though, and I've bought more different types of beer lately than I can remember (last purchase was a bottle of La Fin du Monde and a six-pack of MacTarnahan's Highlander Pale Ale). Most of my homebrew ends up in Bitburger bottles, though, if that tells you anything.
Budvar is very nice, and a pleasant surprise if you haven't tried it before.
It's starting to become available in the US under the name Czechvar. Decent stuff, but they had to change the name because the Microsoft of Brewing wouldn't let them use their real name. Never mind that Budvar's been around longer...
And what have having sex on a boat and american beer in common?
Here's a quarter, kid...go buy yourself a clue. Better yet, go get some Arrogant Bastard and proceed to remove yourself from the gene pool, like the two unworthies in the cartoon.
Just because Bud/Miller/Coors are pisswater says nothing about real American beer. Would you judge other countries' beer by the swill from their megabreweries?
maybe a few of them will learn that (1) we're not the Great Satan the ayatollahs told them about
Their parents told them that they had a nice democratic government before the US overthrew it...
You failed to mention that Iran was in danger of being taken over by communists...maybe things weren't so good for a while (though you wouldn't know it from hearing current Iranian exiles speak), but at least it kept the Russians out.
Crap like that is why I hate tinyurl/makeashorterlink/etc. links...you don't know WhereTF you'll end up. (Lynx sez the AC's TinyURL link goes to goatse.cx.)
Then again, if fucktards like you didn't exist, maybe we wouldn't have this problem.
I would imagine that there will be a widespread knee-jerk reaction across America to this news. Afterall, our government is using tax dollars to deliver privacy and freedom to a member nation of the "Axis of Evil". I, however, do not mind one bit...
I think it demonstrates that we have no quarrel with the people of Iran. It's the regime whose jackboot they're under with which we take issue. With access to outside news/information sources, maybe a few of them will learn that (1) we're not the Great Satan the ayatollahs told them about and (2) maybe they'll give the ayatollahs the heave-ho and make available to themselves the choice to live in the 21st century instead of the 13th.
You *still* have to buy the machines. Or are you saying that 10 machines per developer at a company is ok?
Hardware is cheap (unless you're getting ripped off)...besides, just because you can install Windows on ten machines clustered around your desk, does that mean you will? Granted, not everybody needs multiple machines, but I'd like to see you try debugging (for instance) videoconferencing software using just one machine. Last time I checked, VMware and DirectX don't play well together. (Besides, you can build a second, reasonably powerful computer for what VMware costs.)
And please, while you're at it, remind the Slashdot crowd of the stupid "one install per system" idiocy that M$ forces on you.
MSDN includes access to all of the desktop and server versions of Windows, and you can have up to 10 machines running desktop Windows. They figured that a coder would have multiple machines and accomodated that.
Posts like this one ask for a new moderation option:
-1, Anti-MS-Zealot
If we had that, some Slashbots would be joining the trolls and crapflooders posting at -1 in no time at all. It'd greatly improve the S/N around here...too bad it doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting implemented.
Well that's also becomming an issue with spam. Spammers use trojans to turn other people's computers into spam machines, now that user (or their ISP) gets blacklisted....and what's that user or ISP's recourse?
The solution to that scenario is fairly simple: don't run software that opens your computer up to infection by trojans/worms. If you're an ISP, don't allow your customers to run such software on your network.
Make sure you say, "Hey everybody...watch this!" before you do so.
s/copyright/patent/g, perhaps? Extortion as a business practice sounds like a business-method patent the USPTO would issue...

A "new" P5? I have a few sitting in my junkbox if you want them...some of 'em even support MMX.
c=0; while true; do lynx -dump http://www.thebulkclub.com >/dev/null; c=`expr $c + 1`; echo $c; done
If you don't have Lynx installed either, try this:
c=0; while true; do (echo "GET / HTTP/1.0"; echo "") | nc www.thebulkclub.com 80 >/dev/null; c=`expr $c + 1`; echo $c; done
If you don't have netcat installed, what kind of l4m3r are you? :-)

Is a simple cut-and-paste that difficult, Beavis?

Most any homebrew book would have that info...you might also want to have a look at this page.
We have it here in Vegas...haven't gotten around to trying it yet, though. Seems like that cat's already out of the bag.

I live in Las Vegas, and while kazaalite.tk is no longer listed, there are several other download sites that are listed (mainly for the K++ variant).
kazaalite.tk, BTW, is still alive and well.

The "logic" of trolls isn't. When you run across a troll, don't feed it.
MSDN includes access to all of the desktop and server versions of Windows, and you can have up to 10 machines running desktop Windows. They figured that a coder would have multiple machines and accomodated that.
Nice attempt at a troll, though. Not.

At least Insightful mods are still +1...Funny mods do bugger-all for your karma. (WTF's wrong with being a smart-ass?)

(OK, so maybe that response is like Q saying the solution to some problem is to change the gravitational constant of the universe, but one can always hope, right?)
