Being a dorm rat, I can say that I have a large group of friends, including myself, who stay in the dorm becuase of the network. It's a lot easier to play games // connect to servers from the dorms. With this restriction on P2P applications, they'll push out the students stay in the dorms there for the high speed connection.

And, really, the showers aren't that bad.

I wonder if the system releases only one pattern that the weather will follow or if it returns many different ways that the weather could go. From what I've heard previously about hurricanes, they have the tendancy to change paths when they feel like it - would the machine give more than just one pattern that the hurricane could take or do you think that it gives what it has discovered is the best answer?

But no, here in the world of a college student, we have to pay for our software. Yes, we get it at a (slightly) discounted price from the computer store, but it's still a good sized chuck out of the wallet to buy.

So, where is this university giving their students these programs? can I enroll for a semester?

I have to wonder what problems completely overhauling the internet would cause. Browsers would have to be updated to not only accept the new languages but also work with the older languages that long-time web programers refuse to give up. Then most the average computer users would be confused as to why their older browsers don't work with the "new web" and tech support will be tearing their hair out to fix all the problems.

I'm sure that there are wonderful things that this "new web" can accomplish, but I see the downside outweighing the upside.

This is the second Article which has come out since I went into the hospital with DVT and Pulmonary Emboli. I was admitted January the 9th and they didn't release me until the 17th when my INR (the rate at which blood coagulates) was between 2.0 and 3.0 - the average person's INR is 1.0.

I'm now taking warfarin, a generic version of Coumadin, a blood thinner and I have to wear circulation tights for six months.

What's interesting is the blood clots didn't go diagnosed for about 2 months. Why?

Well, most people don't expect 19 year old girls to have DVT.

Despite my age, the fact I'm a non-smoker, a moderate drinker, anti-drug and decently healthy, I now am attempting to irraticate a large blood clot behind my left knee. One of two factors could be the reason for my condition - a medication I was taking or the fact I sit around in front of a computer for hours on end. I suppose I should have taken a break when doing my late night CS homework or wandered down the hall at work (I work as a Helpdesk Phone Tech), but hindsight is 20/20.

If it happened to me, I suppose it could happen to anyone. I'm going to take a walk down the hall to find coffee and stretch my legs. Be sure to take a break people.
