"True, although I have to say that 'national security' is the biggest lie that ever was told. It's been used repeatedly to engage in things so immoral that I just want to puke."
And who told National Security and morals were even vaugly congruent?
National Security is all the sacry & horrifying things that governments do so the citizens can sleep untroubled through the night.
Ah, I see. Rout memorization of a algorithm makes me smart. Gotcha.
So long "current events", so long "interesting books I've read recently", hello FIVEsday!
So, I can figure out what day of the week any date in history falls on in my head...so long as I happen to know whether the last day of Feburary is the 28th or 29th that year, and what day of the week the last day of Feburary happens to land on.
I thought the most interesting development in the development of this on-line world was not the off-line retributuion (unfortunate), but the even more interesting migration of real-world gangsters into the game, where they play (suprise) gangsters.
Anything that keeps thugs in front on a monitor instead of on the streets is a Good Thing(tm), yes?
So why haven't we see Tony Soprano playing his half-elf warrior on HBO?
And that's why we see Sega dominating the handheld market today....oh...wait...
It is for goofy marketing ideas like this that has driven Sega out of the hardware market.
Nintendo built a virtually indestructible, cheap unit that they will be able to feed with their enourmous library of SNES games, and will play games for hours on it's AAs.
(BTW, the fragility of backlit screens was probably one of Nintendo's main reasons for omission)
The GB has been one of the best money makers for nintendo ever, as well as a cash cow for developers, who can create small games in a reasonable time-frame with small teams.
In many respects, it is the last bastion of steady profitability in an increasingly big-budget hollywood style blockbuster-or-die marketplace.
So, the secret-so-called-of-life is kind of tiny stirling engines?
Ginger indeed.

"4. A movie at matinee prices is the *SAME* movie you'll see at regular evening rates."
But because you were a cheap bastard, you'll have to sit through it with all the screaming kids.
Sound familiar?

Ahhh...my bad. Mistook a divider for the bottom of the page.
Having discovered my error, I can see now that mastering this skill would indeed make me a true chick magnet.
ME: Hey Babe, you were born on a FOURsday. How 'bout a date tWEBELSday?
HER: Sure....what day of the week does never fall on?

Say, that will be great fun at parties.

Shoulder Buttons.

Respectfully, are you insane?

1. Backlight. Fragile and expensive. Does the non-backlight LCD suck? Yes, a bit. The reds especially suck. But it will last forever.
2. TV Out. Reality check: $99 battery op unit, with a screen res of 240x160. That would look like so much ass on an NTSC monitor.
3. Everyone plays with AC Adaptor? Have you ever been to a family restaurant? Swarms of GB kiddies everywhere, neary a 120v socket in sight.
Sounds like you have a different platform in mind.
