In fact the 4th was designed to blunt exactly these sorts of lynch mob tactics under the color of law.
Were those intentional puns or did they just surface subconsciously?
I agree with your sentiment. While I don't really feel bad for the actual KKK people, those who are incorrectly outed could very well have their lives destroyed by this wanton and careless act. This is one reason the amendments are in place. I think it's also beyond ironic that anonymous wishes to (I'm paraphrasing here) "..strip the KKK of the cowardly masks they hide behind".. and yet, they're "anonymous".
This has historically been the biggest contender other than Dark Matter to explain the observations. However, as TFA notes, the evidence does not point that way. There are multiple independent lines of evidence for Dark Matter, please -- pardon my invective -- shut the fuck up and educate yourself before continuing to post in this or any related discussion.
Oh yes, with your level of professionalism, which is to smugly point to Wikipedia and tell other people rudely to shut the fuck up, I'll certainly disallow my freedom of speech in the future on any matter which your exalted grace disagrees with. Or, y'know, how about, fuck you?
Science is an open ended process, not dogma, and in particular there is still so much unknown about "dark matter" that it's still a valid point of discussion, current evidence notwithstanding, whether you like it or not. So bully and insult all you want, you only reveal yourself to be a hateful, angry condescending little man.
Maybe I'm nitpicking, (okay, I am) but this analogy assumes you already know what a bear is and have seen bears before, and bears are definitely known to exist. It'd be more like, you see tracks of some sort, claw marks of some sort, scat of some sort, but you don't really know what made them because you've never seen or heard of a bear before, but the evidence is also unlike any creature you've ever seen before.. which leaves room for imagination and educated guesswork.
What if gravity just begins to behave differently on a far larger scale, somewhere in-between the scale of individual stars and whole galaxies, than we expected it would? Dark matter - or rather, evidence thereof- doesn't seem to be observed at any smaller masses than galactic.
While I'm not intimately familiar with firearms, I have shot just about everything once; I tend to agree. Sounds like Hollywood influence. So many people pooh-pooh the 9mm as if it's a.22, or even a BB gun, but I'll tell you, I don't ever want to get shot with a 9mm, anywhere.. I wouldn't even want to get shot with a.22 for that matter. I'm pretty sure either would compromise my ability to ambulate or attack someone, or at least distract me big time, unless maybe I was on PCP or something whack.
Don't know why someone modded this down, it's dead on. The real show died a long time ago, they just didn't know it yet. And the true science aspect died even earlier. It does indeed always wind up with blowing some shit up, after some very sloppy science "controls" anymore.
But now there's that faux science show, "Outrageous Acts of Science" which fills the same niche, so Mythbusters has become redundant to the studio.
Australia isn't quite as diverse as the US is, nor nearly as populated. It's also an island, surrounded by ocean, which makes smuggling guns a bit trickier than a country with several times the square area and a collective approximate 6,000 miles of land border.
Americans don't "wander around" with guns either. Open or concealed carry is not that common, and even where it's legal doesn't mean everyone is doing it.
This is what the media and CAIR do not want widely known, they're too busy pushing *their* agenda which is to claim others have an agenda. At least Obama seems to have wised up a bit.
Yes, "interesting" indeed. Good way to put it. The whole thing was a PR sham on their part. Why does he and so many others actually, literally refer to that clock as "his invention" then? His family's background and history seem more likely to produce a terrorist, or at least, a sympathizer. Maybe the cops were sick of their stunts.
So you're saying we have crime because of all the non-white people?
In what way is that not racist?
And linking to westernjournalism, that's rich.
Simple: anytime you have vastly different cultures mixing and colliding - blacks, whites, asians, muslims, christians, atheists, or even among same race but different ethnic groups like Italian, Jewish, WASP, Irish, etc.. -you get the picture- you get more tensions and friction, as the "melting pot" rarely brews smoothly at first. It can take decades (or centuries) for things to homogenize; in the meantime, this friction breeds mistrust, racism, bigotry, or just plain old fashioned differences of opinion; all this can lead to victimization and also feeling victimized, in an ugly cycle. Violence sometimes breaks out. And that most certainly includes whites of all ethnicities in that mix. It's not the only factor in the violence equation, but it is a factor as it means a more complex demographic.
Comparing the US to far smaller and relatively non-diverse countries like Sweden or Australia on murder rate is a flawed process.

I would think - with my limited understanding of physics and cosmology- that Mars' smaller size, being about 1/3 the size/mass of Earth, would have to play some part in it's early "death". A smaller, less massive core would would probably not have the same inertia as a larger one; and less magnetic field, not to mention gravitational field, would make an atmosphere more vulnerable to the solar wind.
Their gear has worked quite reliably for us. We had a Symmetrix DMX1000 for about 6 years, and a Centera, and EMC's service was impeccable; while the DMX did suffer from some hardware issues at one point, their FEs busted arse on it, and we never had an actual outage. Managing that beast was no picnic though. That was retired, and now we're using a CLARiiON CX-4 (bought from Dell at the time but also soon to be phased out) and a relatively VNX5400, both of which are much easier to manage and have been stable. *fingers crossed*
On that count though, Dell's not so terrible either; in some cases we've got a few Dell servers still running even though they're 8 years past EOL (yay for crap budgets) and some are stuck in some truly horrendous environments. It's hard to kill the 1650s, 1750s, and 1850s, apparently.
That's really sad if a comedy needs to prompt people when to laugh, which, judging by the laugh track or whatever, is far too often and for one liners that aren't remotely funny. It feels forced and artificial, but humor should be natural. If it's funny, you laugh, if it isn't.. get new writers.
I used to like The Big Bang Theory, but the last few years it's been in a steep decline to where I don't even bother anymore. Sheldon now sounds like more like a little old woman when he talks than he does someone with OCD or Aspergers or whatever it is he has that they say he doesn't. The same old gags have gotten old.
I like your bonus points. Well, it's a weird balance I guess; there's a fair amount of money spent on health research too; and there's no guarantee that throwing more money at something will make it happen. I would not argue that the military has not spent wantonly and recklessly, of course they have; government knows no other way. But if you have people trying to kill you, as well as your allies, and disrupt economies of the world, you have to address that too.
The middle east is a necessary evil right now, as so much of our economy is tied into it. Instability in that region translates to economical instability, and... and... well crap, there's the crux of it. Our huge spending on terrorism is mostly about protecting the economy, or more namely: Wall Street. The fringe benefit is that it can save lives.

Actually I was referring to the parent's line, "..that might explain the Kardashians", but thanks.

Then there is no intelligent life out there after all?
The problem is that you are (presumably) a normal human
I appreciate receiving the benefit of any doubt ;)

But they're practically identical, the .40 being only a hair larger than 9mm. Not much of a change.
I don't think that's a concern.

He'll probably marry into the Kardashian family in a few years.
Well, both, so to speak. He got arrested first, and then came all the hype of his "inventiveness", and he became a media hero.

How'd this get modded "Informative"? I guess the Clintons are Republican now? http://www.ijreview.com/2014/0... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/...
Someone will probably offer her her own realityTV show now.

Kang and Kodos beg to differ.
