    Can I remind you that you self-censor all the time, for exactly that reason? "to appease those that might find the material offensive."

    While thinking "you are stupid" or "I hate you" when conversing with a co-worker, you're not saying those things out loud. Why? Because they are offensive to some people, though maybe not to you as you're actually thinking it. Swap any offensive thought and any other person in place of co-worker and the argument still holds true. And don't tell me you don't ever think bad thoughts about anyone, all humans do.

    It *was* 55, then it *was* 65. Given that the first sentence in your linked wiki page is "Speed limits in the United States are set by each state or territory" it very much sounds like there *is* no federal speed limit.

    Perhaps you meant "The same way the federal speed limit was enforced within states."

    Then maybe Christians should stop referencing the bible all together, instead of cherry-picking the bits they think god *really* meant.

    If the bible is as flawed as you say it is (and I am not arguing that point), why not throw it away all together and come up with another book to live by. Either write it yourself, or wait for a deity to appear and write it for you.

    A person ... has no more right to discriminate against you because of your choice of bedmate(s) as they do because of your choice of cheese, or beer.

    This is true in so far as any person has every right to discriminate against you for whatever reason they bloody well choose.
