That's going to be the sequel. Snakes on a Bus.

It'll be short, Chuck Norris will say "I hate snakes" and they'll ALL DIE.

Although, I do miss the days of the 2400 baud modem (2400 was LEET I SAY, LEET!) and tfiles bbs's.

Not to mention some figure why spend 30$ to goto the movies when you can buy the movie for less and own it forever.

Lars... yah, what an asshat. I used to be a big metalica fan, then the whole mess with napster and live recordings and etc... I lost all respect for them as a band, they're trying to get rid of everything that initially 'made' them as a band. F'that.

Napster BAD! (as if you haven't seen it)

I can understand that artists want to get the money for the work they're doing... I respect that. Hell, I've even mailed artists money in the mail when I've downloaded songs I really liked (prior to itunes mostly) and I've had some good responses back from them doing that and some interesting t-shirts and signed stuff too I might add. Shrug, the whole drm, screw our fans, etc... it just gets on my nerves.

In the end the fans aren't the only ones hurt the bands are too.

People value their own lives to much to take that level of risk.

You're 100% healthy, find a mythical 10 shot revolver, load 9 chambers with blanks and one with a real bullet, give the chamber a spin and put it to your head and pull the trigger. If you get shot, tough shit. If you don't get shot, then you can't die by putting a gun to your head and pulling the trigger ever in your life no matter how many times you try.

Not many people would make that choice. AIDS for most people engaging in consentual sex is entirely preventable. It's NOT a particularly robust virus or particularly contagious compared to most viruses like it. Honestly, at a 10% mortality rate for 99% of people in the world, you'd be absolutely insane to take it.

HIV(Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is not AIDS(Acquired ImmunoDeficiency Syndrome), HIV weakens the immune system, at some point in most cases this eventually causes the body to get certain other infections and to be unable to fight them off... These secondary infections and the effects are AIDS. This vaccine is going to target HIV to prevent the initial assault on the immune system, by doing this you prevent AIDS also.

If you read the article you'll note that this prevents HIV-1, not AIDS itself which is a secondary effect of HIV. So no, this will have no effect on those already infected, vaccines prevent-- not cure.

  8. Re:49 people + 180 days = proof?? on First Phase of AIDS Vaccine Trials Successful · · Score: 2, Insightful

Vaccine's don't cure, they prevent, this won't help the people with pre-existing infection. However, if the trials go well and governments can be persuaded to deal with it like we dealt with small pox, tb, etc this can be something humanity, for the most part, will prevent the vast majority of the world from ever having to deal with inside a few generations and in the long run may even help to find a cure.

Many of my friends and family have taken it a step further and don't even bother buying the software anymore the rational being- "If i'm going to crack the game and make it unplayable online, why not just warez it and save 50 dollars?" and I honestly find it pretty hard to disagree at this point.

Don't get me wrong, it's fast, it's clean, but it's a royal pain in the ass to keep upto date on mission critical servers. I'd recommend debian to any future places of employ who asked. *Shrug*.

Then I smashed his face into the pavement a few more times just to make sure we were clear on where things stood. In all honesty, I was terrified... Someone who hasn't been through the beatings and torture can't even come close to understanding how that feels and the mental, emotional, and physical scars it leaves. A fist fight sucks and you might win might lose... a gang of people getting you down and beating you regularly is a whole different story. A bully understands one thing, pain, end of story, until they feel it they have no concept and they don't care... after they feel enough pain they lose intereste in dishing it out anymore. ever.
